Brother Skitch Single-Needle Embroidery Machine and Magnetic Narrow Frame Attachment Bundle

I loved and was excited about the open arm on this machine, but it is not a true embroidery machine. It is a continuous line-drawing machine. If you want novelty it might work for you but it does not work for a "serious" embroiderer. IMO this machine does not meet Brothers quality. The thread kept breaking and making birds nests in the bobbin. It made words one letter at a time, not as a complete word, not good for embroidering clothing. An excellent idea of an open arm embroidery machine but falls flat for the serious embroiderer.

After months of using this I gotta say I love it. Stitches super clean, it is a little slower than a regular brother pe900 for example. The frame size limitation should be taken into consideration. 4x4 is max but it’s still great. The Artspira app glitches sometimes but with a bit of patience and reading the manual you are good to go. Low noise, easy to use, great quality stitches, durable material (feels very sturdy ). It’s easy to move around as fell, very functional and easy to store. Overall I would give it a 4.8 out of 5. Taking off point for Artspira app not reading the frame sometimes and being a bit slower than my pe900.

The machine I received was easy to set up and use but the end product was very poor. The outlining was off by1/16 of an inch because the way the hood is held did not really secure the hoop. Either its a terrible design or the spring that holds the hoop pins in place was either bad or far to weak. you could watch the hoop move at an angle when it was in process. I could make it better if I put a foam ear plug between the hoop release levers. This made it better but still not great. So, This machine is almost amazing but just almost. I wanted to love it. The app is easy to use and importing files is a breeze. but sadly my machine was lacking in the most important place.

I’m a beginner and love that this is digital. The Artsipra app might not have the best designs but you can purchase designs from Etsy! The price is great! It’s easy and speed not to bad! I purchased the extra small hoop. The color and size of the machine is perfect and lightweight! One of my favorite purchases by far!

This machine is terrible. Doesn’t have a light on it and never able to get it to work. Please don’t waste the money on this machine.

I had this machine for less that 4 days and the only way to use it was to connect though phone to program the design. It shows that you can embroider on denim and it snapped a needle and jammed up while emroidering on at-shirt and then again on a sweatshirt. It work for one completed design on at-shirt. I returned this machine.

So many complaints, I think are user related. Buy a thread stand, use the correct stabilizer, iron on tear away works well, quality embroidery thread, prewound bobbin thread.

I purchased this machine to do mug rugs on, so I didn't have to tie up my bigger machines to quilt the mug rugs. If you have embroidery machines don't get this one. You will hate it. You have to have a tablet to use it. Brother's program to use it cost $12.99 a month. There programs is not that good or maybe it's me. You can't resize to the size that the machine can sew out and that is only 4 x 4 but can't find anything that size on there site. Everything is bigger, that you can't make that small or really small that you can't make that big. They say you can load your own designs if you pay for the program. Have tried many times and it say I cant. Maybe I'm not smart enough to figure out there program, but I have worked on a ton of programs and I feel this one is not that great. The stiching is not that great, it looks like it was sewn on a kids play toy sewing machine. It's hard to thread. Epic fail as far as I'm concerned. Sorry I threw the box out, I would have sent it back.

Don’t buy this machine. Although it posts to Australia you can’t actually use it. Needs the app to work and the app won’t connect in Australia . All online reviews also saying this machine won’t work for them for other reasons in other countries . Waste of money and can’t even get a refund
