Worth every penny for your children's dental health
Yes, this might seem expensive compared to the £1 toothpaste from local shops, but this is about your children's oral health - invest now rather than dealing with problems later. As a parent, I can say this has been a game-changer. The natural, healthy ingredients give me complete peace of mind. With 40% xylitol and being fluoride-free, I know I'm giving my children something genuinely beneficial rather than just hoping standard toothpaste won't cause issues. But here's the real winner - the organic banana flavor is absolutely brilliant. My children actually WANT to brush their teeth now, which any parent will tell you is worth its weight in gold. No more battles at bedtime or morning routines. They genuinely enjoy the taste, which makes the whole experience so much easier. The fact that it's safe to swallow is another huge plus for toddlers who haven't quite mastered spitting yet (though obviously don't let them eat the whole tube!). This removes that constant worry about them swallowing toothpaste during brushing. Jack N' Jill clearly know what they're doing when it comes to children's oral care products. The quality is outstanding and I genuinely believe this will help my children's long-term dental health. I won't be switching to another toothpaste after discovering this. Sometimes paying a bit more for quality is absolutely worth it, especially when it comes to your children's health.

Safe, fluoride free toothpaste for babies and toddler
I chose this toothpaste because it’s fluoride free and organically certified. It contains 40% xylitol, which is great for supporting dental health. It’s free from sugar, SLS, colouring and artificial flavours, which makes it feel much safer. Suitable from 6 months and safe if swallowed a big reassurance for parents. The fact that it’s flavour free actually helped, as my child didn’t resist brushing. The 50g tube is small but lasts well with regular use. A clean, simple formula that stands out among kids’ toothpastes.

A safe and tasty toothpaste kids actually enjoy!
A gentle toothpaste that’s a hit with kids! I recently started using this toothpaste for my toddler, and it’s been a great choice. My daughter absolutely loves the flavor, which has made our tooth-brushing routine much easier. The organic banana taste is mild and sweet enough to appeal to little ones without being overpowering. It genuinely feels like a treat for her, and she’s actually excited to brush her teeth now—something I didn’t think I’d ever say! As a parent, I appreciate that it’s fluoride-free and sugar-free, giving me peace of mind that it’s safe for young children who haven’t quite mastered the art of spitting. The fact that it uses xylitol as a natural sweetener is a great bonus, too. It leaves her mouth feeling fresh without any artificial aftertaste. The texture is smooth and easy to apply to the brush, and I like that it doesn’t foam too much, which can be intimidating for babies and toddlers. With three tubes in the pack, it’s also a good value and ensures we’re stocked up for a while. If you’re looking for a toothpaste that’s safe, effective, and kid-approved, this one is worth trying.

Great tasting, less nasties and beautiful teeth
We hit a brick wall with our toddlers teeth brushing. These pastes have been great, we have to hide them now as he wants to always brush his teeth/eat the toothpaste! It’s been a game changer They taste fruity, and have less fluoride than regular paste. It’s clear so more appealing and smells better than other kids paste. There’s more natural ingredients which is great The ability to brush his teeth solo has grown since using this. You don’t need much so it’s great value for money The tube is not as big as a regular tooth paste

Goodbye "Mint Burn" Meltdowns: The Sensory-Friendly Secret to Tear-Free Brushing
Overview: The Jack N’ Jill Natural Certified Kids Toothpaste is a good solution for parents navigating brushing battles triggered by "mint burn" or sensory sensitivities. While it's a safe-if-swallowed, certified natural formula with a high 40% xylitol content to support a healthy oral microbiome, the primary trade-off is the lack of fluoride or hydroxyapatite for direct enamel remineralisation. It is a pragmatic, high-quality choice for achieving "compliance over conflict," though older children may eventually require a separate supplement for robust cavity protection. ✅ Pros: • Eliminates "Mint Burn": Perfect for children with sensory or overstimulation issues. • Safe-if-Swallowed: A fluoride-free and natural certified formula (Ecocert COSMOS) ideal for young ones. • Clean Ingredients: No sugar, no SLS, and no artificial colours or preservatives. • High Xylitol (40%): Effectively helps neutralise cavity-causing acids and balance oral pH. • Gentle Texture: The clear, smooth gel is low-foaming and non-abrasive. ❌ Cons: • No Remineralisation: Lacks direct enamel-strengthening ingredients like fluoride or hydroxyapatite. • Premium Pricing: Relatively high cost for 50g tubes (typically sold as a pack of 2). • Subtle Flavour: Some may find the scent and taste (particularly the banana) very faint. The "Mint Burn" Solution For many preschoolers, the biggest hurdle to oral hygiene isn't the act of brushing, but the intense "burn" of mint. Even Childrens' toothpaste often has a sharp profile. Combine that with the intense foaminess of many toothpastes and you've got the perfect storm for sensory overload. For my four-year-old niece, tootbrushing was a major trigger for nighttime meltdowns. This product has been a total game-changer; by replacing the sharp sting of mint with mild fruit notes, it turned a stressful power struggle into a calm, cooperative routine. The Origin Story: A Mischievous Choice 🐵 When I asked my niece what flavour I should buy to replace the minty one she found offensive, there was a mischievous glint in her eye when she suggested "banana." I think she thought she was setting me an impossible task! She was genuinely surprised when I presented her with actual banana & strawberry flavour gels. That surprise quickly turned into acceptance, and we haven't had a "mint-related" tear since. Sensory Profile: Gentle & Unobtrusive The physical formulation is excellent for children with sensory sensitivities. It is a clear, smooth gel that is low-foaming and gentle in the mouth, avoiding the chalky feel or overwhelming suds of traditional pastes. The taste is remarkably mild. I personally couldn’t detect a strong banana scent - it’s more of a gentle, sweet, indistinct fruitiness - but it successfully bypasses the "sensory alarm" that mint triggers.🍌 🍓 Pragmatism Over Age-Labels While this formula is technically suitable from 6 months+ because it is safe-if-swallowed, it’s a good "bridge" for older children too. When toothbrushing becomes a nightly battle, it is much better to use a gentle toddler toothpaste they enjoy than to fight a losing battle over a "big kid" paste they refuse. Establishing a positive habit and removing plaque is the priority in these early years. The Remineralisation Gap (2026 Update) The one trade-off to consider for current dental standards is the lack of direct remineralising agents. While the high xylitol content is fantastic for reducing bacteria that cause tooth decay, it doesn't provide the same enamel-strengthening as hydroxyapatite or fluoride. To address this, I am considering pairing this with the brand's Tooth Sparkles tablets or a dedicated remineralising paste to ensure her enamel stays strong as she grows. 🌟 ✅ Final Verdict If your child has a genuine aversion to mint, this is one of the best kids' toothpaste options to restore peace to your bathroom. It fosters a positive relationship with dental hygiene at a crucial age. It’s a premium product, but for a tear-free bedtime, it’s worth every penny.

My girl hates minty paste and loves this blueberry flavour. Makes brushing teeth fun! The tiny tube is perfect to take along on flights and is a cute addition to her toiletry bag.

Great product and is fluoride free. Taste great also with a bit of a mint flavor but my 20 month old loves to brush his teeth with it and I don’t have to worry about it being toxic or dangerous for him.
