I'm normally hesitant to buy this sort small-brand Chinese hardware that floods Amazon, but there were no well known brands offering this part so I gave it a try. Happily I have had no issues. The option to use optical, 3.5mm, or hdmi pass through is very nice. I have not noticed any timing or latency with the audio matching up with the video. I took the enclosure off mine because I will be putting it inside a different system. the board is compact and clean.

Great sound quality

This works as described, but it doesn't support CEC. I used this to combine my AppleTV with a Karaoke system and although it replaces the audio properly, I lost CEC functionality between my AppleTV and my TV/Audio system. CEC support is important to me and the description says it supports CEC. The little booklet (manual) that came with the device doesn't say it supports CEC, so the Amazon description is misleading.

For the venue I work at, we wanted to send video from a camera, and audio from the sound console, to a video monitor in the green room. For this purpose this product has worked excellently for several months now.

Still have a hum in the sound. Not sure if it’s my equipment or what.

This supports 4k video with stereo inserted audio. BUT, make sure you plug it into something that provides enough power. I didn't realize the brick I plugged into was only a 10w supply and it couldn't do 4k on that. Read the instructions and make sure you do it right. I had some issues with the mono price inserter because even after getting it replaced it only supported single channel audio, this solves that problem, very happy with it. I will update it if I have any issues

Stopped working after 2 months.

My computer graphics card does not output an audio signal on the HDMI output, so I had to find some way to combine audio and HDMI video. This did the trick!

My fancy gaming laptop just can't output HDMI audio when connecting to a TV via HDMI.
