Alternative brick convert! We love Funwhole so far!
A huge convert to alternative bricks thanks to Funwhole. Tried the brand at the recommendation of people on a sub I’m apart of. Not disappointed! We have three medieval sets, the cheese house, and the flying ship. All were hits with my kids, and I myself love to see them lit up at night all cozy in their rooms. Pros: box is fantastic for looks but also storage, brilliant. The instruction book is all one book rather than multiple. The paper for the instruction manual is far superior than the leading brand, by a long shot. We store it and extra parts in the box which opens like a fancy present. Design is pretty good, minus the gate won’t allow a rider on the horse fit through, but the set doesn’t come with a horse, it comes with a cow and cart. The design it very stable. It has great moving parts that function well. It doesn’t break when you play. Lights are awesome and easy to install, my 10 year old did it all by himself. The cow is adorable. Far cheaper! Comparable with the big brand, pieces I think are better quality actually. Same size as leading brand. Cons: the brand name. Ugh, it’s funny, but also my kids keep saying “Funwhole. Haha Funwhole.” The little people that come with it do have comparable with other bricks accessories but they look silly. The arms can be flimsy. Note: the one pic looks like the back gate is crooked, it’s not, my toddler was playing with it, but it took literally 1 second to fix. So, not a design flaw, our bad.

Great alternative to those other bricks
The look of the characters takes a bit of getting used to compared to another major brand of bricks, but super fun set to put together. The lights and a fun challenge, but the directions are simple to read and help it go together easily. I will definitely buy more of these sets, they are a great deal, especially when they are on sale.

This set converted our LEGO snob family 😂
Lego does not have enough castle sets that are a reasonable price so we settled for this set but, WOW!!! This set has so many fun details and is really well designed. The wiring and lighting has a little bit of a learning curve but makes the castle look so pretty. I also appreciate that it is a not a direct Lego knock off. Obviously they use Lego compatible bricks and building techniques but the design is not a copy of an existing LEGO set. My teenager (who got it for Christmas) was skeptical at first but quickly became very excited as he built it. He is very happy with the overall build and especially with the playability. He hates it if he spends hours building something and then you can't easily access the inside for setting up scenes. The whole model is designed to be opened and closed easily and doesn't fall apart at the slightest touch. We were a little "meh" about the minifigures at first but little guys grew on us. They aren't Lego Minifigures and have their own personalities and are just better quality than the typical "this is not a LEGO minifigure" guy. We are definitely buying more of these sets from lumibricks!

Highly recommend
To anyone concerned about Lego constantly rising prices, look no further for a replacement option. Funwhole sets provide folks with Lego quality builds, clear and concise instructions, AND LIGHTS! I personally love adding lights to certain sets to make them a little more fun and inviting but having it as the standard, already included and easily integrated into the set while building. It's really a no brainer. And there's more than just medeival themed sets. The new cyberpunk and street fusion stuff looks great. Plus they've got western, steampunk, and more conventional city buildings.

Way Better Than Lego!
This is one of Funwhole's best sets! The design is really attractive and well conceived, with a lot play features/functionality, too, like a portcullis and drawbridge that can be both raised and lowered, a ballista mounted on a swivel and one on wheels, an ox cart, multiple figures, extra weapons, etc. This is a dream for castle/medieval fans who are sick of Lego mostly ignoring the theme and drastically overcharging for everything. As usual, Funwhole bricks are as good as or better than Lego, the manual is better, and the box and overall presentation are more attractive and upscale than Lego's cheap-feeling manuals and boring box art. Funwhole really puts a lot of care into their sets. You get all prints (no stickers), integrated lights, and a fun build. The only drawbacks are very tiny: a few questionable color choices--the orange of the thatched roof is gaudy--and the crank arms on the ballistas can fall off easily. An awesome value, period, particularly at Funwhole's low prices.

Fun set
My kid loves this, he uses it as a nightlight. I have been running it nonstop for about 6 months off a 5v 1amp power brick and all the lights still work. The brick quality is quite good for the money. I would buy this again.

Awesome Model
I love the look of the Funwhole Medieval Watchtower, even with the lights off! I appreciate that there are no stickers, and I especially like the large wall panels with vines and bricks printed on them. I like that there's both a gate and drawbridge that can be raised and lowered, and I like that there are two staircases in the tower (not just ladders). The figures and ox look good, although I wish the ox had two 1x2 tan plates and a 1x2 tan tile rather than one 1x2 brick to fill in the void. That way, it wouldn't have two visible studs on its back. I appreciate the few pulsating lights that mimic flames, but really all of the lights should have that feature because they all represent fire. The two LEDs on torches beside the front gate should have orange flame pieces on top of them. Also, the battery box tends to fall off when I try to power on/off the set. Aside from these minor quibbles, this set looks great in my medieval village, and I'd love to see the wall extended with future add-on sets. Better yet--how about a castle for the walls to protect? (I have no doubt Funwhole could produce a castle as good as Lego's Lion Knights' Castle and for a lot less than $400--and it would light up too!)

Absolutely buy this set if you like building with little blocks for a fraction of the price. It's great quality, instructions are clear, all the pieces were there. The lights are such a fun touch. I've already bought another set from the same brand.

Great build quality, great designs, easy to follow instructions, fair pricing for what you’re purchasing! We have avidly stuck with the “LEGO” brand sets for about 9 years- while the figures are clearly different my son found them compatible and everything looks amazing! He was very impressed with his first set from this company and has a list a mile long of the next ones he wants to get! We LOVED the lighting! Highly recommend trying this brand out- you will not be disappointed!!
