XPA125B with IC-705 Radio, Works Great!
Great Amp for the price. Antenna tuner works great if properly configured (refer to attached photo for tuning instructions). I am using it with my IC-705 and can get about 100W output with about 1W drive. Based on comments from others, the drive level may vary to get full output, but it seems to always give full output with 5W or less drive. I wanted to use this amplifier for POTA and ARRL Field Day use. I don't like to move my base radio, so I grab the IC-705 and XPA125B for all my outdoor or field day work! For POTA, it was always frustrating when someone could not hear me with 5W output. With the XPA125B, I always seem to make reliable contacts. As mentioned in prior reviews, the XPA125B will not automatically switch bands, you must remember to manually switch the band on the amp by pressing the "BAND" button. This is more of an inconvenience and not a problem for me. Typically, I am not "band jumping" anyway. Once I get my antenna up and tuned, I will typically remain on that band for my outing. I researched several other amplifiers in the 100W range before buying the XPA125B. Most other amplifiers did not have an ATU and if they did, the cost was much higher. Please refer to the attached photo of the ATU tuning instructions I created. The XPA125B tuner has worked great for me, but you must follow the tuning instructions to get everything tuned properly (the manual does not cover this very well).

Dependable Linear… ATU LACKING.
ATU NEEDS redesign. Linear works great! Very small of input wattage provides great output wattage. 1 watt in provides 50 watts output.

Xiegu XPA 125B the little amp that could
The Xiegu amplifier XPA125B is a marvelous unit that works great. Since buying it I've operated the amp on all bands but 6 meters. Excited by my G 90 and HL-2 transceiver. With about 1.5 Watts of drive the amp produces around 115 Watts out. I'm very happy with the unit. The fact it has a very robust antenna tuner is great as well. Before I bought the Xiegu amp I had tried several cheap no name amps that either failed after a short time or never worked from day one. Don't waste your money on the Noname brands get the Xiegu you will be happy you did.

I think it would been great if it worked. Sent back.

Base station power for my IC-705
I have used this for almost a year, to turn my ICOM 705 into a mobile base station. Besides not doing auto band switching, the amp has worked great! It’s amazing how easy it is to punch thru pile ups with 100w of fairly clean power. Tuner works great too! Great value for the money.

WHERE’S THE MANUAL?
Not happy with Xiegu at all. Bought the XPA125B to go with my X6200. The instruction manual is a complete joke and the operating procedures they lay out are in no way correct for most setups. Sent Radioddity an e mail and basically got back a no help answer. Buy the extended operators manual for the XPA125 is there answer….. Why should I purchase a manual for ten extra dollars when I just spent 500+ on the amplifier? Shouldn’t a complete instruction manual come the product you are buying?

Good for the money. Requires special cable to work.
I am updating my review as I was expecting this amp to work like amps I have used in the past. Instead of an internal relay sensing the RF and switching the amp to transmit, it needs a special cable to connect to the radio. This needs to be purchased separately and you need the right one for your radio. This information in the description would have saved me a lot of trouble. The advantage of the cable is automatic band switching. The amp does have a good wide bandwidth. Testing it with a dummy load and an unlocked xiegu 6100 it achieved between 80 to 100 watts from 1.6 Mhz to 30 Mhz. Did not test it on 50. The antenna tuner gave me great results with the xiegu vg4 antenna allowing me to use 80 meters. I could hear myself on an sdr located 400 miles away. 160 Meters was not achieved with the antenna but it's no big deal.

Awesome lil low drive amp!
Can hit this guy with .2-.5w and see 80-85w pep out! So 2-3w or that 5w qrp rig will excite this guy to full power. If swr is ideal and tuner is at a minimal reflect, also depending on band of operation, an easy 100w+ is obtainable with this unit! Up to 125w pep shown on display and is accurate with swr, band, tuner, amp, voltage. Input swr and output swr with watts simultaneously displayed! Great tuner with what we believe is a 10:1 capacity! Not many do this! Works on 160m fine. 43ft worked great but only needs the 4:1 to work. Value for money and functionality! Just an awesome lil amp! One thing I’d add is that silent but turbo muffin fan or two!!! ;) cheers 73 w8rbj
