delightful
"A delightful and fragrant addition to my pantry! The BAILINHOU rose syrup jam is a food-grade, high-quality rose petal jam that is perfect for baking, cooking, or as a topping for yogurt or ice cream. The 35oz/1kg size is generous and will last a while. The flavor is subtle yet distinct, with a beautiful rose aroma that transports me to a garden of blooming roses. I've used it in cakes, cookies, and even as a mixer for cocktails. Highly recommend for anyone looking to add a touch of elegance and flavor to their culinary creations!

Mieux que la plupart des confitures de roses faites en France.

This made the most delicious filling for a rose cake. In its neutral state the sugar is grainy, but once heated it softens into a wonderful syrup. The rose aroma and flavor are strong; a little goes a long way, but it was just right for flavoring a cake! I definitely recommend this product.

If you haven’t read the brilliant review here about eating and grandma, please go read it because that reviewer took the words right out of my mouth. This also reminds me of my grandmother’s rose-scented powder and initially, it’s just weird! But once you accept the fact that you are eating a flower and start really tasting it, it’s equal parts amusing and amazing. Really. It’s delicious. The texture is kind of squeaky – like a good cheese curd on a Poutine – and it takes a couple of bites to get used to, I think. It’s very red, with almost a purple tint. I think the color is most like a jar of pickled beets. I attempted to get a good photo but they all came out with the jam looking brown. It’s beet red and beautiful. I first served it on a charcuterie platter and everyone needed to know more about it (charcuterie intrigue is my specialty). It’s funny how I can serve it on an upscale platter like that, but I can also eat it with peanut butter on the most basic of breads. It’s very versatile, which is good because this is a huge jar and I’m grateful for it.

This Chinese rose petals preserve tastes very much like the one I had in Ukraine in my childhood. Unlike Ukrainian one, this one easily crystallizes and goes whitish in the process, but this didn’t reduce rose flavor or fresh taste at all. No-one in my family wanted it, so this large jar lasted me almost 1 year. I stored it in a fridge without an issue other than it forming white chewy and tasty crystals. I ate this preserve with tea, on my yogurt or farmer cheese, and made smoothies. It kept nice rose flavor and taste all the way till I consumed it all. The taste & flavor are sufficiently intense, but not overbearing. The flavor seems pretty natural. I’m guessing, they added some artificial flavoring, so intensely rosey the taste/flavor are, but the jam doesn’t taste like it was artificially flavored. It’s not overly sweet either. Rose petals in this jam tasted exactly how I remember them, slightly squeaky as you roll them in your mouth, and with a hint of bitterness. The only negative thing to mention about it is, the jar is made of plastic.
