Upgrade M5 Bimetal Heatbreak Plated Copper Titanium High Temperature Feeding Tube Compatible with Ankermake M5 3D Printer Extruder Hotend Parts (Bimetallic Heatbreak)

Had to cut the blue (teflon?) sleeve off the original hot-end to extend the filament feed path, but now I can retract ABS and other 'high temperature' filaments, where before I had to partially disassemble the print head, cut off the filament, and force the new filament on top.

This is a great upgrade for the M5, make sure you use a 22mm Piece of PTFE tube between this and the extruder, to fill the gap. I wish these were produced by more companies. I've been printing ASA at 260 degrees, and PLA Plus at 215. Both worked fantastic with this Bimetal heatbreak.

Doesn’t fit AnkerMake M5

So, while waiting for the all-metal hotend set for my M5, I ordered this. It fit fine with the old hotend set (without isolation column). I've printed PLA, PETG and ABS with it and it seems to work fine.

Doesn’t fit the Ankermake m5 without modifying. Thanks to the other review I drilled the holes needed for it to fit properly due to the small posts in the original block. It’s been working great since.

after receiving this housing, it looked good (nice plating) but it ended being the wrong design !! - this housing is NOT compatible with Ankermake M5 printer, it has the wrong hole pattern to align with the head, I didn't check but it might fit a M5C - the material is totally wrong (brass), it should be aluminum and nothing else...Thermal conductivity is key for this function and also it is a lot heavier and might change the printer response and/or precision. bottomline : a total fail and had to be returned.

Der M5C kommt nicht ganz klar damit. Das Hotend bzw. der Extruder schafft es einfach nicht genug Filament zu fördern. Ich habe den M5C für einen Review ausführlich getestet und muss zugeben, es ist ein brauchbarer Drucker im Einsteigersegment, um diesen Preis kann man aber nicht das beste vom besten erwarten. Mit einer Schichthöhe von 0.3 und einer Linienbreite von 120 %, kommt der M5C mit einer 0.6 Düse einfach nicht zurecht. Mich hat es schon gewundert, warum Ankermake keine 0.6/0.8 Düsen direkt für den M5C anbietet, nach meinem Test war mir allerdings klar warum. Die Bimetall-Düse selbst ist von hervorragender Qualität, aber nur bedingt für den M5C verwendbar. Damit der M5C mit dieser Düse klarkommt, muss man so drastisch mit de Geschwindigkeit bei den Slicer Einstellungen heruntergehen, das man mit einer 0.4 Düse und 0.25 Schichthöhe sogar etwas schneller als mit der 0.6er druckt. Der einzige Vorteil, der dann noch bleibt, ist die höhere Stabilität/Belastbarkeit des fertigen Drucks. Wie schon erwähnt ist diese Düse von bester Qualität, aber für den M5C empfehle ich eher die Bimetall 0,4 mm Düse, die ich ebenfalls für meinen Test gekauft habe. Diese druckt jedes Filament, natürlich auch abrasive in perfekter Qualität!

Heizpatrone und Thermfühler passen exakt ins Hotend. Dazu löst man einfach zwei Madenschrauben, zieht die Teile raus und ersetzt sie. Das ist viel einfacher und günstiger als das ganze Hotend zu ersetzen. Die Fehlermeldung vom Drucker ist weg. Ich drucke wieder bis 255 C.

bought this for my ankermake m5c as it says that it is compatible with it but the posting is incorrect it does not fit the m5c its far to long to fit

Diese Bimetall-Düse ist von bester Qualität und perfekt für den M5C. Da ich einen Review zu den M5C verfasst habe, wollte ich den Drucker auch mit abrasiven Filamenten testen, die mitgelieferte Messingdüse ist dafür aber nicht zu gebrauchen. Da der M5C als anfängerfreundlicher Drucker vermarktete wird, wollte ich eine Düse für abrasive Filamente mit der auch Neueinsteiger problemlos zurechtkommen. Eine Ruby wäre zwar von der Verschleißfestigkeit nochmal besser, allerdings haben viele Anfänger mit einer Ruby Probleme bezüglich Verstopfung/Clogging. Da man für eine Ruby ein paar Slicer Einstellungen anpassen sollte. Diese hier ist mit den Standardprofilen besser als die originale Messingdüse und trotzdem sehr verschleißfest. Die Filament Einstellungen sollten aber natürlich trotzdem auf das zu verwendende Filament angepasst werden. 5 Sterne und eine klare Kaufempfehlung für jeden M5/M5C Besitzer.
