Worked a treat. Leakage found and cut out and both ends attached. It is tight fitting but guess it needs to be. Make sure outer coating is contained within the tightening screw. No leaks when tested 3 spare ones for future leaks

IMPORTANT information. Product seems to work ok for intended purpose. It is made from what looks like very cheap plastic but seems tough enough. There are NO INSTRUCTIONS BUYERS BEWARE. If used with an expanding hose make sure to trap the hose both sides of your intended cutting point because the rubber inner will very rapidly catapult back inside the fabric housing making it very difficult to extract. The black plastic inserts will need lubrication to fit into the hose inner and the white cone is a very tight fit over it, needing some effort to make it fit properly. Also the outer casing fabric needs to be fixed firmly to the connectors with strong gaffer tape or the inner rubber will escape and expand like a balloon full of water.

I wasn't sure about these at all at first, but having had a few little bursts now, these work great, easy fit, good quality and robust enough to pull on, I even used them to join 2 hoses together.

These expandable hoses need the right technique to stretch and align the outer cover with the inner core before cutting and fixing the joint in place. There maybe other ways to do this, but I started by marking the position of the leak and clamping the hose about 15cm downstream, then turned the water on filling and expanding the hose, even with the leak it stretched the hose fully up the point of the clamp. I then clamped again 15cm upstream whist still under pressure, turned the water off and let it out. Now I've got 30cm section isolated with the clamps and inner and outer cover aligned. I cut where the leak was, then again taking about another 5cm off. Slide the screw cap of the joint down over the hose pulling the outer cover through, fit the collar onto the inner and push the inner core fully onto the joiner, slide the collar down aligning with the slot, and then pull the outer cover over the collar so it was just level with the screw thread , trim it neat so it doesn't block the threads. Holding it all in place screw on the cap, tighten it down, really tight, and job done, repeat for the other part of the cut hose. So I have a leak proof joint, the inner and outer are aligned as they were before so the hose expands and contracts as it should around the new joint. Happy with the result and would recommend.

Not the greatest success. Wasn't able to connect to the house easily and connection didn't last.

Didn't work at all. Too difficult to get it over the fabric of the hose. Spent over an hour on this but it didn't work. When I got the hose into the grips and screwed it together, it just leaked..

Funziona alla perfezione, ho riparato due tubi bucati una mesata fa. Per il momento funzionano benissimo.
