I was actually just planning on making one of these out of colored furniture grade PVC pipe, but when this one went in Cyber Monday sale for such a lie price, it was actually cheaper to just buy this. I was a little leary of such a low price (both the normal and sale prices), but I am pleasantly surprised with the quality of it! The assembly instructions aren't great (especially the low quality, tiny print/images for these 60yo eyes), but a little common sense goea a long way. Just FYI, the best place to assemble it is probably on your tailgate so you can immediately adjust it properly. Yes, you do have to drill holes in the side of your bed to install this. The kit does come with nicely printed templates for doing this properly, and the even include a decent appropriate sized drill bit. Thankfully with my 2025 Toyota Tacoma, there were already factory dimples where the holes needed to be drilled so it was easy for me, but the templates should work fine if your truck is different. I also didn't have to use the stand-off brackets. It functions perfectly on my Tacoma! If you have a tonneau cover, you will have to lift/roll part of it to flip/rotate the extender in/out of the bed. But you should definitely be able to use a tonneau cover with the extender in place. Should be very useful in both modes for me and I really like that it's only two pins to remove the whole thing. My only (mild) complaint was that it did take an unusually long time to arrive for Amazon, but overall an excellent product!

All the parts were there some extra screws in case you lose one in mine anyhow and very well made fitment was basically perfect and it looks very nice function beautifully It was very sturdy The assembly wasn't bad at all And it was a good fit for my Nissan Frontier

The instructions are as clear as mud. I'm 7 decades old and not a novice when it comes to mechanics or assembly. The instructions should include, at the very beginning, to make sure your bed posts don't extend 3/4 " or more. If so, you will have to use the "U" brackets included. Also, nothing tells you that the straight rods will only go into one side of the "pivot upright assembly" while the bent tubes go into the other side. Also, the "bumper upright assembly" can be confused with the "pivot upright assembly". I suggest a label be placed on each prepacked bundle. (A, B, C, etc.) Overall the unit seems to be well made and is easily assembled once you figure out which part goes where. It took me an hour longer than it should if the instructions were more clear and the parts identified with a label.

I bought this bed extender because the bed of my truck is not a full size bed. I drive a RAM crew cab and these trucks tend to have a shorter bed. Adding this extender allows me to place items in the back without having to worry about them sliding off on the trip home or having to place 2x4s on top of my tail gate. If you couple this bed extender with a good quality bed cover you can even carry other items like luggage or tools in the back securely. This bed extender was easy to assemble and easy to install. Just follow the directions provided. The quality of the materials is good and it is very easy to use. I was able to use it to place several things in the back and they did not move around at all. Also, you may want to make sure you carry a couple of bungee cords with you just in case you need extra security for your items. When extended you have the buckles that will keep the extender in place in case you hit any bumps on the road. It comes with extra parts that you can use just in case one of the parts gets lost and needs replacing. One of the things that did confuse me is that it comes with small covers for the pivot points where the pins are and these covers don't seem to want to stay in place. The weight of the whole extender is very light and it is very easy to close. Even my wife and my son were able to do it with no trouble. Overall it is a good product and I would highly recommend it if you want to extend your bed to make it more like a full size bed.

Quality is good for the price. Extremely easy to install. 23 Ram 1500. Pilot holes are already there. Took 1 hour total. Instructions are fine. Just installed today so we shall see how durable it is. All hardware included, drill bit and hex key. All your need is a drill and Phillips screwdriver. Cannot be easier than that.

One of the bolts for the pivot was missing. I had to order a replacement online, cost with shipping was $11. The installation took about 90 minutes. Instructions were clear. Extra hardware was included, but it did not contain the missing long M6 bolt.

Solid and lightweight. Comes together strong and looks good. Also VEVOR has excellent communication and customer service.

Price was great. Fit was perfect. Also the tubing seems to be of a fairly tuff aluminum. The pivot points that sit in the seller’s metal brackets mounted to the side walls of our truck are another story. Having quality pivot points are the key here. This is what allows the extender to be moved back & forth from the bed of the truck over & over again. The seller’s are plastic & one broke after just a couple attempts at extending. Would be happy to give a 4 star rating or higher if the seller were to fix this issue. FYI to Seller: If these could have all metal construction for the pivot points you would have a contender.
