I Highly recommend this foil barrier for a sauna. It is very strong, and I never had any concerns over it ripping or puncturing. It will puncture if you jab it with something pointy, like a screwdriver. But you can put a lot of tension on it when pulling it tight and it doesn't rip. I used a staple gun with stainless steel staples to attach it to the studs. To install it around the walls, I used another person to hold the roll of foil and went horizontally around all 4 sides in 1 pass. Then I added furring strips, and put basswood t&g onto the furring strips, which makes a gap between the foil and the wood. This is to let moisture escape. After using the sauna for 3 months, it seems to be holding up well, although I can't see the majority of it because its behind the wood. The sauna holds heat extremely well, and I have no moisture issues that I can tell.

This feels like a really nice product - as thick as you'd expect it to be. It 100% is not perforated - which would obviously miss the point of a vapor barrier. Also, this product is definitely not meant to be used exposed, without a wooden covering (e.g. T&G pine or cedar) on top of it. Excited to fully cover my new sauna with this!

Goes up fast with 2 people, the roll is heavy one to tack and one to keep tight on roll, actually a bit easier to install than I expected. was a as thick as comprible products I have used would defiantly buy again, my use was under the house against my truss floor and it sealed in my old fiberglass insulation very nicely, would recomend taping joints to end up with a itch free application

This product was in good condition and the most impressive thing about it was that it doesn't rip or tear. Very durable while working with the product.

This foil is awesome. Very tough and great to work with. It does not rip you have to cut it and so hanging it on the ceiling of my sauna went great as I did not need to worry about it tearing. It does crinkle but then straightens out with just little ripples. Very good product! Thank you!

This was a lot tougher and thicker than I expected. It’s very easy to use - nothing like heavy duty aluminum foil. This stuff is thick. But it’s easy to cut and really is worth the price for how much you get on a roll.

Do not use for a suana. Contains plastic and will shrink when heated.
