I use this on an alt-az telescope tripod. The telescope has to be perfectly level and the manufacturers supplied bubble is hard to use as you have to adjust the tripod legs. This allows you to get the tripod approximately level and then use the three thumb screws to get an exact level. With two horizontal levels and a bubble level, it is an easy job.

I purchased this as I always struggle to get the tripod level for panoramas! This item definitely works for leveling up for a panorama. Very pleased with this item.
