Introduction to Linear Algebra (Gilbert Strang, 2)

Book turned up on time in excellent condition

You may have heard or found related resources about this book many times before, so do I. But it does help me a lot as I have been stuck in many technical details on machine learning in depth, as I don't fully understand related linear algebra concepts. Besides, this hardcopy one is really good to read.

A must read for everyone who has interest in math and math applications. Great writing , self-explanatory, with hundreds of examples and exercises and well written solutions provided online. Would recommend!

I appreciate the development within the book but sometimes I find the steps are too much for me at 94. However I am coping with it and find the process demanding and satisfying.

I Nearly finish reading this book and all exercises. Though this process is time consuming, it is worth the money and time.

I'm not a mathematician (computer programmer getting into machine learning) and this book (+ the excellent videos via MIT) do a better job of making this subject understandable than any other I've come across.

The Best.

In the sample, all formulas are missing. The full version is just a PDF of the original text without even a TOC, and you cannot add annotations or highlighting - a disaster for a text book. Worst Kindle adoption I have ever seen!

Strang has a beautiful intuitive approach to linear algebra. Yes, that does mean he dives into things more rapidly and presents things in a less systematic way. I actually find it a relief that it doesn't read like a cookie-cutter book. There are many hidden gems of intuition and the relationship of linear algebra to broader mathematics in this textbook if you review it carefully. Strang's heavily graphical approach helps to relate the equations to the additional visual intuition that drives the understanding of mathematics for many people. Strongly recommended.

This is one of the best books I have started reading for Linear Algebra. Cause I am starting an M.Sc. in AI study I have searched for a comprehensive and clear introduction to Linear Algebra. Starting looking plenty of Mr. Gilbert Strangs video lessons 18.06 finally I found the best source to remember and improve the understanding of this very important field. In addition, I bought this new version of his LA books and I didn't regret it. One thing I have to mention for all of the people who are interesting to buy this book, too, is to see some of his lessons if you like the teaching style he is using, cause the book uses the same style and sometimes some things are not so clear when you read them first. But if you like it, I believe that this is the best source for Linear Algebra some can get. Conclusion: If you see all the lectures at 18.06 and read this book, you don't need any other sources to get a comprehensive understanding in Linear Algebra.

It makes linear algebra very easy to understand.
