My previous unscented "hydrating" shampoo and conditioner destroyed my hair! I stumbled upon this brand (Il Salone Milano) and decided to take a chance on it, despite the fact that most of the reviews were Vine reviews on free products. I paid for all of these, I swear! Within a week, I ended up ordering almost the entire line of shampoos and conditioners, including "masques" and the rebuilder keratin oil. The products were so reasonably priced--and I was so desperate for a solution--that I ordered ELEVEN products. I'm 70 years old and never had a problem with frizzy hair until recently. I've been taking vitamins for "hair, skin & nails" but I had no idea that the "hydrating" shampoo and conditioner I used for several months was the problem. The products aren't actually unscented as some are labeled, but I found that the scent is tolerable and wears off quickly. And it didn't make me sneeze or itch or give me a stuffy nose. It may sound crazy, but my hair improved with the very first use. I also did a deep conditioning mask. A real scientist would try out new products one at a time, but my hair was such a mess that I didn't want to wait. (I didn't notice before I ordered, but Il Salone has a product page that lets you "SHOP BY LINE" which is supposed to let you choose which problems/issues you have with your hair, but the links within that page seem to be broken. If I had noticed this page sooner--and the links were working--it might have stopped me from over-shopping, but I'm genuinely happy with having the whole collection.) Also, because I have so many of the issues, it would have been hard to refine my list. My hair issues include dry, color processed, dull, damaged, etc. Pros: My hair felt smoother, silkier right away. And, aside from the After less than a week, I'm just so happy. The scent is pleasant but not strong or long-lasting. (That's a huge plus for me because I have so many sensitivities to perfumed products.) With the exception of the keratin hair oil, all of the products rinse out easily. My hair wasn't weighed down by product at all. Compared to other products that claim to offer the same benefits, the Il Salone products are VERY reasonably priced. That's why I ordered pretty much the full line as soon as I tried and liked the Keratin shampoo and conditioner. (Life's short. I didn't want to do research. I just wanted my smooth, shiny hair back!) Cons: There are so many different products in the line that I honestly felt I couldn't differentiate between Glorious, Mythic, etc. That's why I bought so many. (I have plenty of friends who are happy to take my cast-offs!) The variety isn't really a "con" just a possible problem if you can't afford to experiment. I think I'll be using all of them. Is it a "con" that the products are made in Italy and I'm afraid they will become unavailable or much pricier because of our economic instability these days? It will take a long time for my damaged , broken, shoulder-length hair to recover, but I'm confident that the Il Salone products will be the solution.
