I love tea tree. Only down side is they collect alot of moisture quickly and begin to look ugly. Stains on the yellow bananas, but that's what their designed to do!

I tried these after all the typical baking soda, newspaper, etc. tricks weren't making a dent in my climbing shoes. These work like a charm and now I have to almost stick my face into the shoe to get a whiff. The smell can be very strong when you first take them out of the package, and I figure they probably need some time to soak up everything that's already in your shoes, so I suggest leaving them in your shoes when you know you won't need to wear them the next day. The scent is herbal and pleasant. One star deducted because one of the bananas was so overfilled that the seam had split and it spills the deodorizing power into the package. I guess it's a good thing that they're not skimping on providing the materials? As long as I'm not throwing it around it's fine. I figure if an extra grain of lavendar or whatever sticks in my shoe, it can only help.

I like this product! I recently got a new pair of climbing shoes and bought this product right away to prevent my shoes from stinking. The smell is strong, I can feel it whenever I pass my shoes rack but I don’t mind it. My husband isn’t fond of strong aromas but he enjoys the pine smell too and asked me to get a pair of bananas for his workout shoes too.

They work so well. My soccer cleats used to always smell and make my soccer bag smell. These eliminate all odors. My first set lasted a long time and i recently repurchased some for my new cleats. These will forever be a staple in my life and will be buying some for my kids when they start playing soccer.

I look forward to trying the product again in the future. _____________________________________ Original Review: I bought these to use in my gym shoes because I like the fact that they can be held together or split apart and the reviews were good. Instead I was highly disappointed. I put them in my shoes after my workout and when I got them out the next day, after just that first use, they were discolored in places (I assume from the moisture). They did not absorb all the moisture by any means either. They smell ok but not amazing themselves and don't really transfer that to my shoes like other products I use in my boxing gloves etc. I have used them less than a month and one of them is already tearing at the seam and leaking whatever is inside of them. So disappointed in this product!
