As an elementary teacher I am always looking for new books to engage my students. This book is a good resource to use for a science unit on the water cycle. The author describes the journey of a water drop as it travels from the peaceful mountains to the vast ocean and then makes its way back home. Although the story does not specifically describe the water cycle, students can relate to the water drop and make connections between the story and the water cycle. The photographs in the book are breathtaking and show the beauty and power of nature. This book is unique and a great addition to my classroom library.

In this high tech age it was nice to read a story obviously written by a storyteller that combined the ecological themes with a real adventure that should hold an adolsents interest without the heavy hand of so many "green books".When I was a child (60 years ago) we had storytellers who came to our schools,churchs and scout meetings. They tought me to love reading and a good story. The pictures were wonderful and have me planing a trip to the mountains as soon as possible.

We love this book. Beautiful photos, beautiful story, and beautiful science.
