Great lightweight urban walking shoe
Great urban walking shoe, comfortable and lightweight. The lacing mechanism on this pair doesn’t work as well as that on my previous generation of this model, as the tougue seems to be oversized.

Best Trail shoes out there
I’ve had several Speedcross trail shoes so I know their best for grip on muddy surfaces. The sole rubber is very hard which causes problems on surfaced paths etc. They are brilliant shoes easy to tie with their pull string mechanism which stores easily on the top of the shoe.

Quality went so low after classic speedcrosses
Has a pair of speedcross 4 before that lasted 5 yrs. Loved them. This paid was killed in 3 months. Holes both on the left and right after normal wear and some hiking impact. Terrible quality. So sad to see how low the great Salomon had fallen.

Robust and great quality
Great shoes for trail running or walking/hiking. Very comfortable and hard wearing and I love the lace alternative for ease of putting on and removing the shoes. Not water proof, but they protect my feet well. Very happy!

Great tread, and generally a good shoe but…
I do a fair bit of trail running and OCR’s and used to have a pair of Merrells that lasted me years, of which the prices have soared since I last brought mine. I therefore opted for a slightly more affordable Solomon, who generally have a great reputation. The general design, fit and function as a trail running shoe is all there. However, I am noticing at long distance I am feeling the impact through my legs that I don’t get in my Kiprun running shoes, nor did I get this previously in my Merrells… not quite sure what that is, but potentially something to be aware of..
