Important: The noise canceling does go down a bit
Based on my title, you're probably thinking "why 5 stars ". Because it still does what it says it will do. They feel way lighter on my ears and are better for mowing and the gym. However, im sitting poolside now with a waterfall nearby. There is a rushing sound that doesn't exist on my other ear cups. Theyre so easy to switch out I could do an A B comparison because of this. The waterfall wooshing sound goes away completely with the original pads but they were sweaty within minutes in florida humidity. The gel pads are so comfortable but because its lighter there is some sound that passes through. Because it does what it says it's still 5 stars. You should just know what you value most.

Better than OEM!
Very nice replacement. I like it them better than the original that came on my Sony headphones!

More comfortable than OEM
(cooling gel pads) The memory foam is very soft, just like OEM; they feel so plush for $12 dollars. These are really impressive. I should have replaced the OEM pads with these a long time ago.

Super Comfy, Slightly Bulkier than Stock
I got these for my XM4 headphones after my puppy chewed up the pad and inner foam of one side. I’d been thinking of cooling gel pads for a while, and the inclusion of new pairs of the inner foam helped seal the deal. They fit to spec and feel great, but they are thicker and a boxier shape than the original Sony pads, so do expect that it will make the headset appear a bit bulkier visually, but not in a way that negatively impacts comfort. The sound is fantastic, as usual, which is to say these pads don’t have any negative impacts on the sound. If you need a set of pads, or are looking for something a little more comfy, these are a good choice.

Perfect replacement for worn out ear pads
This is the perfect replacement for the worn out ear pads. They are comfortable and easy to install. I have worn them for hours and have found that the cooling gel does its job. Very comfortable.

They're just rubber rings
While these are described as cushioned ear pads, what I received was just a pair of rubber rings; see my photo. Thus I was unable to install them on my headphones. They don't have any gel, so they don't offer any cooling. They also did not come with the "crow bar" that they were supposed to. Maybe I was simply unfortunate and got a defective package. Regardless, I'm sorry to say that I simply can't recommend these at all.

Installation is a pain, and the relevant vid is next to useless -- pretty good fit afterwards
Cumbersome to to install and this is because the installation video that's provided is around 2:45 minutes long but mostly consists of (i) showing how to remove the old pads, ok, but that part of the process is shown twice (using two tools, of which only one was provided in the package, but the other isn't needed anyway) followed by (ii) someone senselessly fiddling with the headphones and pads for most of the rest of the time -- seriously, watch the video before you buy this if you don't believe me! There is no audio/explanation and the not exactly minor issue of how to get the the new pads on such that the little plastic hooks hold them in place is completely glossed over. Reinstallation ACTUALLY consists of pressing the little hooks down really hard (which looks real bad, as if it was going to destroy the pads, which must be why they're not showing it). Once that is done, the fit seems good, they're a little thicker than the original pads, but that is of course not necessarily bad.

Easy install, great comfort!
Easy to install and feels even better than OEM ear pads. They even provided a tool to unclip your old pads. Great product.
