The Train Ride: Classic read-aloud picture book with rhythm and rhyme for young trainspotters age 2-5

This book is a story of a boy going to see his Grandmother on the train. On the way he talks about what he sees. The book has a lovely rhythm in it and changes as the train is slowly down at the end of the story. This book would be great for any young children, particularly if they love trains.

Thought I would enjoy reading this more to my three year old grandson, from the reviews I read. But he likes the pictures and talking about it but maybe it is a little bit young for him.

I bought this book for my granddaughter who is three. She loves books and has about 200 of which nearly all have been read to her. I used this book in my murder teaching as an introduction to poetry. You can hear the motion of the train all through the book. The book arrived on time and in excellent condition. Thank you.

My kids loved this book

A rhythmical story matching the beat of a moving train. I bought this to use with a Nursery or Reception class because it is simple, colourful and connects to so many different parts of the curriculum. Superb!

This book is a favourite with young children. However, I thought it was a 'big' book & was disappointed when it arrived.

I used to read this book to my pupils when I was teaching. I bought it to read with my, almost, two year old grandson as he loves trains. He can't get enough of this book.
