I couldn't live without this stuff. I normally buy the 10kg tub but got this one instead purely just because of storage issues. I have ehlers danlos syndrome which causes alot of health issues and this honestly it works great for pain. For me it's not a placebo either, I actually started using it truly expecting it to not work at all and be yet another thing recommend that is pointless waste of money. Especially as I have used epsom salts before and except making the bath have a scent depending in whay you buy that is truly a waste of money. After being recommend it bith by others with eds and my heart consultant i decided to look into it abit more and that then convinced me to try it. Orignally brought the betterforyou brand but quickly realised that that was adding up and becoming extremely expensive. Obviously its not mirical cure but i do find it does have a effect and help. I tend to Have a nice hot soak in Bath of it before bed as it is also great for a good night zzzz, i though it must have been a random fluke at first but no has the same effect consistently and also on my daughter. I will also have a long hot soak when my eds is flaring and when the muscle spasms are really bad. Its great for skin also, i use to get really sore, dry skin from actually bathing/ the water my daughter also has this issues. But Using this has cleared it up for both off us , it comes back when we bath without it . I love the betterforyou brand but this is just as good but far far better value for money. I have also brought other things from hexal ( bath bomb making etc) and it is always decent quality product supplied. I wouldnt just recommend this but hexal as a whole. I have brought bith from amazon and direct, I've yet to be disappointed.

This profuct is a white plastic bucket with a re-sealable lid filled with 5kg of magnesium chloride hexahydrate (MgCl2) flakes. As such it’s a heavy item and you will need sufficient space to store it in the bathroom or other location. You scoop the magnesium flakes into the bathwater and then soak in it. It's accepted that modern city lifestyles, stress and processed food can lead quickly to Mg depletion. Magnesium is a vital mineral for health and especially for good immune function. Soaking in Mg flakes is therapeutic & relaxing and leaves your skin feeling rejuvenated and fresh. Since we started using it, we both sleep more soundly and wake up refreshed and full of energy. One caution: if you leave the lid off the bucket, the MgCl2 flakes absorb moisture from the atmosphere (especially in a bathroom where the air often fs full of moisture) and go hard as rock, sitting in a pool of milky-coloured liquid. This doesn’t affect the Mg chemically but changes its consistency when handling it. Also be aware that if you use this product regularly, then over time you’re going to accumulate a collection of empty, lidded plastic buckets. Verdict: good product and good value.

This is a great relaxing, healing addition to a bath routine. I usually put in quite a lot. It is great to wash face with salt, it is healing and helps to transfer water and other nutrients through the cells. Hair feels harder after it. Good quantity pack and lasts for a while.

Before Christmas, i thought i would buy this and make up sachets of it mixed with lavender and rose petals, for gifts....well, i had a lot of fun making them up. I put them in a box and put them away for wrapping up at a later date ( a couple of weeks after making them)...when i went to wrap them i noticed the box was wet and soggy at the bottom...i couldnt understand what had happened as no one had access to where they had been put away in my room. When i lifted up the sachets, many of them were empty of the magnesium flakes and were soggy and ungiftable. You learn something new every day eh?

Read about the health benefits of using magnesium salts in the bath...pleased l gave it a go. Flakes dissolve immediately, the water is soft and it definitely helps with aches after a day in the garden. Have also noticed an improvement in sleeping...Will definitely buy again 😁

Product came in a box in a white plastic tub. Lid of the tub is broken and contents spilled. Waiting to return and the contents leaking a greasy film through the box.
