Has been working great in my 2018 GMC sierra 5.3L V8 It shifts better. Fuel economy is a little better... Went from 1L - 5km to 1L - 7km but that's just bonus. The truck no longer goes down into v6 mode and it runs A LOT smoother. No more shifting up and down for every hill on the highway. Set cruise and it just hums along at at 1300ish rpms the whole drive. Should save my truck from the known stuck lifter issues and wear on my transmission.

I absolutely hated when my truck felt sluggish when switching from V4 to V8 and this little device is just plug and play so very easy to install! It has worked flawlessly so far. I have only had it for a couple of weeks so far but very happy with this purchase and highly recommend! Truck isn't sluggish anymore, no unnecessary shifting which is hard on transmission etc. Say goodbye to all VVT problems with this device, you wont regret it and itll make your vehicle pays and components last much longer without any unnecessary wear and tear. Highly recommend

Was gonna get my 2015 Tahoe tuned to delete the AFM, but seen this for $60 figured I'd give it a try, and so far so good, it's got alot more balls taking off no more lacking power, I had a shake when I was in drive or reverse and was fully stopped and in gear, after plugging in this bad boy she cleared up, saved some money going this route, been in for few days so hopefully it keeps up

Works Exactly as Described! I bought this AFM Disabler for my Silverado 1500 with the 5.3L V8, and it made a huge difference. The truck now stays in full V8 mode all the time, no more annoying switching between 4 and 8 cylinders. Throttle response feels smoother, and I noticed less vibration at highway speeds. Super easy to install—just plug it into the OBD port and you’re done. No codes, no issues, and it can be removed anytime. Definitely worth it if you want to protect your engine and enjoy a smoother drive. Highly recommend!
