I have a set of shun knives. I already own the Kai knife sharpener to sharpen the knives. This is a good addition to the sharpener to sharpen my last knife in the set. It is easy to use. However, the instruction is confusing. The package said only to pull back to sharpen. However, the inside instruction said to use back and forth motion to sharpen. I had tried both methods and it did not damage my knife (that I can see). It would be nice if the instruction is more consistent.

This was perfect for the knife I use to slice tomatoes. However, be sure and also see the review from Vitaly as there are three types of serrated knifes and this sharpener is only for one of those types. If your knife is that type, this sharpener will sharpen it to the sharpness of a finely-honed razor blade! I'm not kidding...
