big enough for a whole turkey
I purchased this pot to scald turkeys at harvest time. I typically raise turkeys to 30+ lbs. This year two reached 40 lbs (at 17 weeks!) . I was able to fully submerge them into this 53 qt. pot for scalding. The pot is heavy, appears well made, and is nicely finished. The pot's handles are riveted on, although the lid handle is welded, but it doesn't support much weight so it's probably not a big deal. I was surprised at the weight and quality of this pot for such a reasonable price.

Kick ass 🦃 pot
Super awesome pots. Size matters. 21 pound turkey 🦃 for deep fry. Buy them. Better then original pot for kit. Way better for larger turkey 🦃 s. Coworkers said best turkey 🦃 they ever ate. Larger pots cook turkey 🦃 way better and less spillage .

Easy fix to improve water circulation
Excellent quality and value, but I didn't like that the basket sat flush on the bottom of the pot. I feel that limits the boiling water circulation. I easily fixed that with five 3/8" stainless steel nuts and bolts as shown.

Best mash pot I’ve ever owned
Super heavy duty. Works great bought a return and it has small dent saved 30 bucks. Using for mash pot so it has already seen rough service. Holds heat great only have to cycle stove on every 30 mins when full of grain.

This is a serious stock pot!
This thing is a beast! I have used it to make large batches of sauce and chili, it takes a long time to get that much food hot, and you have to make sure you’re stirring very often, but it worked awesome. It is very heavy and feels like it should last for years to come. It also does seem to come clean remarkably easily.

Strainer is tiny
The pot is fine, exactly as advertised, however the strainer is way too small for an 80qt pot. It’s almost like they shipped with the wrong size strainer. If you’re buying for crawfish go with something else!
