These are great. They have the right amount of tension and the construction is solid. I would say they would support about 30 lbs of shear force.

I needed a spring loaded latch to keep my sliding glass doors at a 6-inch opening at night and still providing security. I bought several different designs to compare and these were the best by far. So many similar latches are stamped steel and rather lightweight and flimsy. Not these. These are quality machined latches. I like the small but strong industrial design. Highly recommended.

They look great and functional well.

I was looking for an additional bolt action lock for the door to my backyard workshop and this item fit the bill nicely. It is well built and the bolt action is positive in the lock position. Two long screws were all I needed to securely attach it to the door. I drilled a hole in the frame for the bolt to slide into and used a small washer to give some strength around the hole since the bolt action device did not come with a receptacle. Be aware that the bolt device is smaller than you might think although I still feel it will make an excellent bolt action lock.

I like the spring action on these, so they're make a great addition on some escape room puzzle devices I'm making. Nice design, easy to install and use.
