Just don’t bend them

The media could not be loaded. I’ve had 3 sets of these installed, but 2 sets failed before being installed! I should have seen the signs and not continued with these. They work fine for a day or so when in a straight line. Placed them under the kitchen cabinets with a few slight curves. Worked to two day the started having issues with then not displaying correctly unless you pinched or twisted, then wouldn’t be consistent. There support via the app is a waste of time. Now I have to cut the wires to remove them without doing major damage to my new kitchen.So utterly disappointing. You have been warned.

This is a really good, very soft LED strip. Some of the LED strips that you can buy you can see the individual leads, whereas this comes with a diffuser built into it to make it a much more seamless and smooth looking light.It's not self adhesive, but it does come with mounting hardware to allow you to connect it to things, which is not ideal, but it's not as difficult as you might think. It comes with a remote control that you can do manually, or you can actually do this through the likes of Amazon Alexa and Google Home.The effects are basically endless as it's an RGB IC chip. That means that you've got infinite possibilities of different light effects, and you can really tune it to the exact colour that you want.Of the better, more robust light strips, and with it also being waterproof, it can be run outdoors too if you need to, just make sure that the plug itself is in a waterproof box, because that is not suitable for getting wet.

We loved this, but we had to buy a bigger one for our tv to add to it. It was very easy to put on the back of our tv, and it plugs into the wall out of sight behind our cabinet. I would definitely buy this as gift for someone else who is a gamer or just a movie lover for those movie nights in with the kids. Great value for money, and you can choose from loads of colours using the remote from where you’re sitting to match your mood. A high quality item. Ours is still going strong to this day.

The media could not be loaded. Ordered this item as I wanted to have it attached to the back of my bed frame so that it would light up against the wall and I am super happy with the overall finish! Ordered this in a 3M length for my kingsize bed and it looks perfect!Item arrived well packaged with a remote control and all the clips and screws needed to attach to the back of the bed. There was the option of sticky pads or screws which I opted for the screws into the back of the bed frame. Took all of a few minutes to get this done and set up and really happy with the overall look.The rope light connected easy and the connections are secure with a fused 3 pin plug and transformer for U.K. use. The remote has lots of different patters that you can use or just keeping it on one solid colour, your also able to change the direction of the lighting from left to right, right to left, or you can change the brightness.For the current price of £29.99 (after voucher) I think this is a great price to pay for the 3M length and well worth the money! Highly recommend!

Im VERY mixed on these.The good;Firstly, the colours blend well and are pretty vibrant.The default modes on the controller are "OK", and the app control makes painting colours onto the strips pretty easy.Colour reproduction isn't 100% accurate to your screen selection but the more vibrant colours work just fine.It does what an RGB LED strip should do for the most part and the diffusion of light is quite nice and gives that "neon" effect as it should do.The not so great;The PSU is questionable in many ways, and causes arcing / sparking whenever its plugged into a live socket regardless of which socket I plug it into. I have surge protected and UPS protected sockets (with regulated voltage), it ALWAYS arcs at first plugin.The controller, while functional is generally pretty poor. It doesnt fit correctly in the casing and it rattles very badly and is not nor has it ever been glued or taped into place to stop this. The way the cables are bent to fit it into the case raises some questions on long term durability, and plugging the power pack into the barrel connector results in the controller moving in its housing a lot.The app in use is a version of "Surplife", which is also "magichue" and all the other brands sold / made under this generic controller, and as such suffers all the same pitfalls of these.There are 48 controllable "zones" on the strip itself for a 3M strip (app is default configured to 100, so you have to change this yourself, its not auto detected, nor is it documented anywhere). This means that out of the box animations don't really work properly until you fix it in the settings.Not unexpected, but the wifi support is 2.4Ghz only, so depending on your router you may have to split the 2.4Ghz channel into its own SSID.

This is the second set of lights I have brought. I loved the style and how they looked but they are faulty. The first set lasted 10 days before they stopped working. The second set lasted 10 minutes. I’m so disappointed with these. Such a hassle to return. Please Amazon stop selling these if they are faulty

The media could not be loaded. This is great. In fact this is so good I got it twice.For the first one I recently bought a gaming PC and wanted to set up a nice game room. The second one I got to brighten up the cinema room.Out of the box you can unravel it - leaving a really malleable neon light strip. There are clips which you can either stick on the wall or screw on.It’s really easy to shape the strip into something snazzy and it definitely brightens up the place.In the package comes a remote control which you can use to turn the strip on and off and do the effects -I have two of these and I have set it up over Wi-Fi and download the app and control it that way. You can name each light and choose which light you want to control using the app Lovely item which really brightens up the room.
