This is great- easy to cut to size and easy to wash. The only negative is that it does stain and we need to soak in mild bleach to remove

This is one of the largest ready cut sink liners I could find (just about large enough to fit our larger-than-average sink). It is made of clear plastic and is fairly soft and flexible so provides decent protection to stop a stainless steel sink from getting scratched. On one side of the mat there are slightly protruding crosses where the segments of the mat join: the other side is smooth. I found it important to make sure the smooth side was down on the sink surface, otherwise the crosses may themselves cause scratches. The design of the mat makes it a little tricky to clean if bits of food get caught in the segments, but generally a rinse under the tap is all that is required. I can't tell yet how the plastic will age - in particular whether it will go yellow over time, but it is doing the job I asked of it, and is sufficiently cheap that it could be replaced in a year or so if necessary.

Does the job but stains really quickly and despite scrubbing and bleaching it's impossible to get it back to looking clear.

These really aren’t fit for purpose. Yes, they stop anything scratching /directly hitting the sink base but other than that they don’t actually function well at all. After washing up one bolognese pan the colour changed from clear to a stained orange/pink which has remained even after two cycles through the dishwater. But what is more of a design flaw is the fact that due to it sitting directly on the bottom of the sink, it constantly traps at food residue under it and if you don’t clean under it every day or two you will get the impression of the matt pattern on the bottom of the sink where it has picked up any dirt residue. I thought I’d spend more and get the Lakeland one due to it being a kitchen brand and therefore potentially better than some of the cheaper options. I wish I hadn’t. Instead it would be far better to get one that sits on little legs to allow any little washing up residue to run into the sink hole rather than getting trapped.

I've used this mat for over a year and found it to be very effective for protecting our very expensive sink, a bit discoloured now but excellent product.
