Le Creuset Enameled Cast Iron Signature Trivet, 8.8", Oyster

I thought I was crazy buying this based on the price, but once it arrived I decided it’s priced pretty fairly. These are very large and solid enameled cast iron. They’re also really pretty. They’re low, too, so easy to display with things stacked on top of them when not in use. Could even function as a centerpiece on the table with salt and pepper shakers or napkins.

Gorgeous over the top quality

Pros: It is heavy duty and has 4 rubber feet making it very stable. Con: It is not finished on the underside. I got this to sit on my wood tables with a silicone trivet between it and my cassadou and dutch oven. This keeps the hot dishes away from the wood, and the silicone keeps it in place nicely. The only thing I have found that I would like to be a bit different is if they enameling was on the bottom as well. That would make it more comfortable when you pick it up to move it. Overall, it is exactly what I was looking for.

Just perfect and beautiful

I didn’t realize how much I would like this metal trivet, it is the perfect place to sit the frying pan or any hot object. It certainly adds panache to my counter top

I love this because it's beautiful and huge. It has rubber coated feet underneath so the trivet itself is non slip and won't damage the surface it's on. However I was worried about having a hot pan on top, trying to scoop something out and having the pot slide off the trivet. I solved the problem by putting a silicone hot pad on top, but then what is the point? I actually purchased this for the lift. I have two pumpkin shaped dutch ovens and I wanted to use them both on the table at the same time but have one a little higher than the other to give visual interest. For this purpose, the trivet is perfect.
