Perfect for my little Houdini!
**Before you purchase make sure your belt buckles are compatible. Providing the 'female' head of the seatbelt is exposed in your car this device should be compatible for you.** Into the review. My son who has Autism enjoys unclipping his belt and roaming round the car while in motion. Once the belt is on he doesn't fiddle with it just unclips it so investing in the expensive restraints wasn't really a suitable option. I'd tried various distraction techniques, but even Mr Tumble wasn't enough. On having a conversation with a parent at school who had the same issue they recommended this product to me. It's super simple to use and does the job perfectly, all be it a minor protest from my son the first use. The device also comes with a custom key for removal which was a nice bonus. This specific belt guard is one of the better ones I've found on Amazon and the price is pretty standard too. I understand there are some people concerned about the safety on the product in an emergency situation. If the services were on scene they remove belts via cutting them rather then using the buckle and key. If it were just yourself (and you couldn't remove for whatever reason) I would recommend purchasing a ligature knife as something to have in the car regardless, as you never know and seat belts can always malfunction. However, I once misplaced the 'key' but I have found my door key slim enough to fit through the 'lock' and release the buckle (note not all door keys are the same so this may not work for you).

Fab little thingy-ma-bob
This things brilliant- I’ve a mondeo 16 plate and we have a Captur 24 plate and these fit both the buckles in the cars plus multiple other cars we’ve been in. It’s large enough to fit over most buckles which isn’t a problem, it can’t slide because it’s clicked into place when you put the buckle in so the bad reviews I had seen I’ve ignored and bought more so we don’t have to keep moving the blue thing between the cars 😂 it’s sturdy hasn’t broken and even been trapped in a door at full force from my 2 year old. The value for money here is brilliant and it’s easy to use so I’m very happy!

Useful item
Got this product as my son who has autism take his seatbelt off during car rides . So here my thoughts on the product . Pros 1. He hasn’t been able to unclip the seat belt. ( it has been a week/ he will figure it out but for now it’s great) 2 strong product doesn’t feel flimsy . Good quality. Cons 1. The unit doesn’t fasten to the buckle or is too big. ( because of this I don’t believe the unit will be a long term solution. 2. As the unit doesn’t adhere to the buckle it is very fiddly to use especially when my son is moving and not staying still. Although there are some cons the product does do what it says and I would recommend the product providing your buckle is the right size. Only 4 stars as it doesn’t fit and the ease of use isn't the best for me .

Safe and secure
I taxi special needs children to school and the middle seat belt reclines into the roof if released and with force. This works perfectly in Dacia Jogger so the belt stays where it should. Pretty sure it will fit any car.

Does the job - Good but not great.
I'll start off by saying this product is good - not great. First off it does the job well by keeping tinkering little toddlers from doing something incredibly risky during a drive. My toddler now thinks I have taken away his newly discovered fun - parent 1, toddler 0. Now for the downsides, most vehicle safety buckles are the same design and size, these are fairly universal in size and design; however, the actual Belt Lock Buckle Guard is far too big. When it is not locked in it simply falls right off. This also makes it incredibly fiddly when trying to keep it in place when inserting the buckle. The actual buckle insert gap does not align with the buckle 100%, again making it fiddly to work with. The 'key' to remove the Belt Buckle Guard is a bit too sharp and curved at the end, it just needs to blunt and fit into the gap - no real magic trick needed here or fancy shapes. Overall it is still a good product, I just personally feel it wasn't really designed to fit correctly...like a rushed job. Safety: 10/10 Ease of use: 6/10 Fit: 5/10 Value for money: 9/10 Effectiveness to win one over on toddlers: 10/10

Definitely worth of money
I have autistic boy who learned how to unbuckle seat belt where his car seat is . This definitely life saving especially In my situation. I wish I brought this first instead of getting cheaper variants . Now at least we will have safe drive without problem.

Not useful to anyone looking to painlessly open a seat belt!
Yet another waste of time and money. I have been trying for years to find something that will help myself and my wife open car seat belts more easily. my wife has severe arthritis in her hands (and elsewhere) and I have arthritis and Carpal Tunnel in both hands. So, looking for a pain-free method of opening our seat belts I thought that at last we may have found the answer - not so. It was far too fiddly to fit and then required much the same pressure to open the belt as was used by other methods and correspondingly the same amount of pain. So, after 15 minutes of more wasted time and effort, this product found a new home - at the bottom of our waste bin!!
