Super Sentai: Seijuu Sentai Gingaman - The Complete Series [DVD]

So Super Sentai Gingaman is the 7th Sentai season to be brought out by shout factory and yes am so happy to have recieved this in the post a few weeks back. I am currently on disc 6 and can’t say how much I am actually loving this season. Thought the beginning was a little bit boring for the first few episodes but that’s my opinion and don’t wanna be putting people off at all. But from like episode 4 I actually got into this season and can’t stop watching it now in my free time. So this season Gingaman was made into Power Rangers Lost Galaxy in 1999 and wow I just love how they adapted it and made the villains Balban who all work together in Gingaman trying to make the ship move by each one becoming a general but failing. Where as in Power Rangers Lost Galaxy all the villains didn’t work together but where made there own where Captain Mutiny in Lost Galaxy only comes into the season when they reach the lost Galaxy but gets killed by Trekeena when they escape in Gingaman he is the main villain. The rangers island in Gingaman is turned to stone and put under water to stop the Balban attacking where as in lost galaxy it’s turned to stone by the villain. Most of Lost Galaxy has been well adapted from Gingaman and made use of Lost of the scenes but wow they did Gingaman proud and I am so happy to have recieved and watch he episodes each day when I can. Only to more disc to go. But if ur like me a super Sentai fan since Zyuranger was brought out. You’ll love this season so much :)

Not my favorite, super sentai series, but I’ve always been a fan of the 90s era Sentai so I can’t really complain. Definitely would recommend anybody thinking about purchasing this to just go and do it because the likelihood of these continuing to be in print from shout factory is pretty low with the company moving on from these properties and not putting anything new out. Quality wise definitely low quality DVD releases unfortunately there’s no versus specials or movies in these sets like you would get with the kamen rider series that they were releasing on Blu-ray, but considering the fact that they have subtitles, it’s definitely worth the money. I’m also a fan of supporting the industry if I can over purchasing some bootleg crap from Hong Kong, so even though this is not the greatest quality it’s still supports bringing Tokusatsu to the states and I’m OK with that.

Not quite as good as OhRanger or Megaranger but still a great purchase. The tone is slightly lighter and you will have to deal with pirate themed putty type minions for 50 episodes. The villains are far better handled than their PR counterparts and the first BullBlack is as much of a jerk as Magna Defender was. Looking forward to Timeranger and Gaoranger.

An epic high fantasy Super Sentai. As good as Lost Galaxy is, Gingaman is better.

As always, Shout Factory delivers. My Super Sentai collection grows. I liked Megaranger better, but the good thing about Gingaman is that it doesn't try to copy the other shows. This is very much it's own thing. I won't spoil anything (there are other reviews for that). Just know that it's the same quality you get from both Super Sentai shows and Shout Factory's DVDs. It looks like my dream of owning these shows are finally coming true.

Shout continues to deliver more of these Great releases. Megaranger has been my favorite so far but Gingaman is one I would also recommend. Anybody who is a fan of the Super Sentai series I would say you would enjoy this just like all the other releases. This one changes it up a bit giving the Rangers Earth powers almost like X men,they still have the usual though with transforming and Giant Monster battles (which is my favorite part)

I haven't watched the whole series yet, but I'll be watching it on my PS4 in the month of November when I purchased Kyuukyuu Sentai GogoV - The Complete Series on Amazon, but now I'll watch the whole series Ninja Sentai Kakuranger when it's the month of October, that's why...... Teruaki Ogawa did pretty good in the role as Hyuuga/Bullblack the older brother of Ryouma/Ginga Red the 6th member of the Gingaman, who previously played as Sasuke/Ninja Red in Ninja Sentai Kakuranger.......

It's a good series not as great as Zyuranger (which I also own) but this series deserves the 4 star rating and I enjoy watching it.

Love it, hope they release all of the Super Sentai series.
