This security camera is insanely good, picture quality is 💯 amazing and clear both day and night. sound quality is crystal clear both ways - spotlight is super bright and the whole setup is so so easy even for a tech idiot like me, and it costs pennies compared to all other experience ones. A must buyif you want quality for your money - I love this and app use is so easy and self explanatory.

Does the job perfectly! Tracking motion can be a little stop start, but that’s no huge issue considering the price paid. No batteries to worry about as it’s mains powered. Night vision is brilliant - the detail is amazing. Cloud storage is better than local storage as anyone can remove the sd card and pricewise it’s cheaper than Ring! Seems pretty durable - it’s been outside in -8 degrees and hasn’t frosted up or had any issues.

Brilliant piece of kit, very pleased with ease of set up and how it performs. Very clear picture quality and love the way it follows any movement and the ability to zoom in for more detail when reviewing images. We have it on WiFi not cable connected apart from mains to power it, and use a memory card not cloud. Thoroughly recommend it.

First off the bat, very easy to install. I went wireless and it is approx 10 meters and 3 walls away from the router and signal is steady. I was disappointed with the length of the power cable approx 3 meters of black power chord which then connects to approx a foot of white cable outside where the camera is located. I ordered a white 5m extension cable and that resolved the issue of distance from the router to fixed camera location and the white and black cable outside which would have just looked odd for me. Also the benefit of this is the power connection male to female is now indoors out of the elements so that a bonus. Eventually I forgot those zones and disabled them all and went with "line crossing detection" In this mode you set lines from points/boundaries and if anything crosses a line it starts recording, dead simple. Now I have an alert when someone steps on my drive and the camera then follows them and records. You do need person detection mode ON for this so that needs a zone setting. Once the activity has ended the camera reverts back to its starting position which is really important. I opted for local storage rather than cloud subscription and went with a 256gig sd card. This has been operational for a few days now and with all the playing about and multiple alerts initially I have used 8gig of 256 gig so its ample storage space for my needs. When its full its starts over writing but expect that wont be for some time. Replaying video is very very simple. The SD card needs formatting before use. Before you install the camera install the Tapo App on your phone and the formatting can be done through this app once you have the SD card inserted into the camera (very easy to do). All in all and absolute bargain on prime day and worth the money even if full price. Highly recommend. Will answer any questions you have just ask, tara. SanDisk 256GB Extreme PRO micro SD card + SD adapter Quality of picture is pretty good but in all honesty struggle to read number plates beyond my driveway so perhaps 25 feet away its a struggle on the highest resolution but for me I am more concerned about people coming up my drive. The two way audio is okay but louder outside (visitor listening) than on the inside with app (me). I will have a play with that soome more. There is a snazzy option to have AI overlay the live video with subtitles of live conversations on the doorstep and that's just like subtitles on tv. Again hit and miss with that.

Bought to replace a Hive camera because they stopped supporting it in August. This camera is so much better at a fraction of the price! The tilt and pan functions plus the light are superb. We already have Tapo bulbs in our bedrooms and never had issues with connectivity and don’t want a million different apps to control our home. The Tapo app is very good and easy to use. Also connected to Alexa seamlessly. Such a great purchase and I feel so much safer.

The Tapo C530WS Pan/Tilt Outdoor Security Camera gives excellent, clear images both day and night, and the 360° vision is a big advantage for covering larger areas without blind spots. The 3K 5MP resolution is really impressive, and the motion detection works very well, sending quick and accurate alerts. It’s easy to set up through the Tapo app and simple to control remotely, even when away from home. The pan and tilt feature is smooth and responsive, making it easy to keep an eye on everything. Build quality feels solid and weatherproof, ideal for outdoor use. Overall, another brilliant camera from Tapo — reliable, great image quality, and fantastic value for money

This really is an excellent camera for the price, the picture is very clear both day and night. We’re using it to keep a close eye on our sheep during lambing. We’ve spent £££ in the past but from now on I’ll use Tapo. NOTE: don’t bother with the screws included in the pack. I misread the guide and forgot to tuck the cables into the bracket first, when I tried to unscrew it the heads shredded and I had to use hacksaw to cut them off. Use decent screws with good heads, DIY 101.

I waited for a while before reviewing. I can now say it’s a great bit of kit and have no issues with the camera or the app. The auto track works well but it likes to look at the roses when they blow in the wind so I have disabled tracking for now. My 128gb card will store over a month’s worth of movement. As it is mains powered it watches all the time and saves to card the moments before movement is detected so you don’t miss a thing. Remote access is great I was so impressed I got a Tapo doorbell as well.

Static is all that you hear in live and recording modes. The camera (& in fact all tape camera that I bought) have very bad Audio and Video EXTREMELY BAD QUALITY MICS making it extremely difficult to hear anything. The camera is good for video and pics only. If you want to record and monitor voice, steer away from this camera and this brand in general.
