Can this mix be used in margarita machines?

Absolutely! That is what I buy it for (frozen margaritas). I have the Margaritaville Bali machine and this is the smoothest mixer blend. It blows away the Cuervo mix. Just add tequila and Cointreau.

Has the formula changed for the mix?

As of 2020, Master of Mixes now utilizes cane sugar in all of its products.
