Best business backpack I've ever owned, period!!
This is the best backpack I've ever owned. The zippers were a little stiff at first, but they loosened up. The exterior of the pack has a strange plastic feel, which I didn't like at first. But this is just the waterproof surface. It actually seems to be wearing quite well so far. The backpack has huge capacity and it's design allows all of the compartments to open out flat for easy access. I have a few minor issues that I wish they would fix, but overall I'm extremely satisfied. 1. The Velcro retaining strap for the laptop is too short. If your laptop is at the larger end of the range the bag is supposed to accommodate, strap will not reach over the top of the laptop to secure it. 2. I love the sideways slot to put the backpack on my roller bag handle. However, the slot is sown too tight (too small) for the handle of most of my bags. The first couple times I placed the backpack on the bags, I could hear stitches ripping, making the opening larger. I am concerned that those stitches will eventually pull loose. So far, so good, though. 3. Because the compartments all unzip to let the bag open flat, if you are holding the bag by the top handle and a zipper unzips, it can dump all of the contents. Where this is most concerning is in the laptop compartment, which makes the retention strap (comment 1) so very important. If they were to install some sort of safety strap that would prevent the bag from flopping open unintentionally, it could prevent this. These might seem like major flaws, but they really are not compared to the usability of the bag. It has become my go-to traveling briefcase. For flying, it has another feature that may or may not have been intentional, but it's really helpful. The top of the bag has a steep slope. At first, I didn't like this, because that seems like a lot of wasted space. However, when flying, if you place the backpack under the seat in front of you on its face (shoulder straps up), the slope allows your feet to go under the front of the backpack, which significantly improves your legroom.

Premium Quality, Sleek Design – Ideal for Modern Travelers
The NOMATIC Travel Pack truly lives up to the hype. The material feels ultra-durable and water-resistant, and the anti-theft features add real peace of mind while commuting or traveling. I especially appreciate how the bag expands from 14L to 21L, making it incredibly versatile whether you’re packing light or need extra space. The TSA-ready laptop compartment is a game-changer—it makes airport security smooth and hassle-free. There are tons of smart compartments to keep everything organized: tech gear, chargers, notebooks, you name it. It’s on the pricier side, but you definitely get what you pay for. If you’re a professional or a frequent traveler who values function, durability, and modern design, this backpack delivers. 👌

The Perfect Everyday Backpack with Smart Features
This is the backpack I ended up using daily, and it checks almost every box. The front is super clean and professional and when expanded, it unlocks a new compartment that feels like a secret upgrade. The interior pockets are over-the-top clever, especially the two stretchy ones in the main compartment—they’re perfect for glasses and keys, plus you get a retractable key string so you’ll never lose them. It has two stretchy water bottle pockets that use magnets to stay hidden when not in use (which is just cool). Side handles are sturdy, the bag is made in the Philippines (nice touch), and you can lock the zippers for security. Minor complaints: The back padding isn’t totally sweat-proof but works fine most days, straps are thin so weight gets a little tiring, and the zippers aren’t buttery smooth (probably for extra water resistance). Would love a brown color too for variety!

EXCELLENT bag!!! tough price to swallow.
I gave this 4 out of five only because of price. This bag has a hefty price tag on it, and while I find it to be excellent, the price is still hard to swallow. That being said, it really is an excellent bag. I got this because the backpack I used to use traveling finally kicked the bucket. Typically, I have always used a hiking pack as duel function traveling pack. However, I travel via planes all the time, and I do worry about my laptop getting banged around too much. And to be honest, I travel the skies far more than I hike. This bag is perfect! It easily protected my items while traveling, was big enough to fit anything I could want in a carry-on, and looked relatively normal (and those that have searched will know what I mean when I say that's not easy to find). I don't think this works great as a "briefcase for work" as they claim, but yes, you can carry it like one....I just wouldn't recommend an actual professional traveling on work to use it as such. Just suck it up and get a quality briefcase instead of a pack to travel. I just took my first trip with it, and was really pleased with everything about this bag. The top pocket for easy cell phone and id access was a must for me and hard to find, every zipper for main compartments can be opened ANY way imaginable as there are 4 zipper heads per pocket, and the padding around the laptop was perfect. It also stands up on its own nicely, which was a nice surprise and what I didn't even know I would like. Going through security was a efficient breeze. If you need a pocket, this bag has one to accommodate you. The hard sunglasses case was a nice bonus. As for the compression sack, it's nice, but the level of compression is limited if you are used to other compression sacks. That being said, I used it, and it did save some minimal space, and it doubled perfectly for holding dirty laundry on my trip as it has two separated sides to it, which was convenient. Overall, this is truly an excellent pack...IF... you can deal with the price tag. The upside, is this bag is sturdy, and I think it will last for many, many years.

Definitely pricey but worth every penny
I was extremely skeptical and hesitant about buying a Nomatic backpack. They’re pricey. I carry a lot of stuff and I try to travel with as few bags as possible. First I have to give them credit because the bag feels extremely well made. The material is thick, heavy, and so far seems pretty rugged. I definitely feel like me gear is protected. I also like how easy it is to access the pockets, they open all the way up. Ultimately it’s been worth the price.

incredible well-made laptop bag, that didn't work for me.
this is a terrific laptop bag it is well made and very durable. however, it did not hold my laptop. I just got a framework 16 with an external GPU, which makes it 11.5 inches deep. unfortunate, this won't hold a laptop more than 11 inches deep, despite the amazon listing saying it will fit. I could get it to fit in the main pocket, but that didn't seem to provide the level of protection I wanted for my laptop. It truly hurt me to have to return it, and if it would have worked for me, I'd be very happy with it. but at this price point,

Supremely versatile
I use this bag in three ways. I can expand it and pack it like a carryon suitcase and it still holds my tech and whatever I need for short trip. For longer road trips in the car I can expand it (or not) and take it along with a larger bag. Or I can just use it as a business bag and it fits under the seat on most major airlines. I really like this versatility. It has the right amount of compartments and places to store all of my gear. The build quality seems great. I can update after some extended use. Very comfortable to wear as a backpack. Love that I can also carry it by the handles like a briefcase or carryon. I can carry just an iPad Pro or the pro and a 15” MacBook Air. I shopped around for quite a while before zeroing in on this bag and glad that I ended up with it.
