When reading about the benefits of supplements, this is the only one that has enough benefits to convince me to take it every day. These benefits are studied and the results are published online. I have taken NAC for over a year and the results are noticeable. People complain about the smell of these, as if they want some artificial additive to change the natural smell. Yes. They smell like sulphur. But this is what NAC smells like. If you can't stand the smell, then maybe this supplement is not for you. But if you can stand it, then it's definitely worth it. They are a little large, so people with difficulty swallowing pills may find them uncomfortable, but for me, I take 4 per day for the amazing health benefits, so I appreciate the size. The digestion can be a little harsh, due to the acidity of them, so I wouldn't recommend taking them right before bed. Overall, for the health benefits, these are a great value and I recommend them to all my friends.

I've been taking it for a long time because my functional doctor recommended it. It works very well, helps my immune system, and I feel great. I take it every day. The smell is strong, but nothing that can't be overcome with enough water. I love it

The BulkSupplements.com N-Acetyl L-Cysteine 1000mg Capsules seem to be good quality, they do have a sulfuric scent to them (which they should), yet there is no flavor. The gelcaps (I think they are a size 0) are easy to swallow and require two for a serving (my previous brand required three for the same serving). Unable to tout health benefits for fear of being accused of giving medical advice, however I will say my household is never without NAC. I tried this brand because my son-in-law buys several of the BulkSupplements products and raves about them. So far, I like these for the aforementioned reasons. I do wish they were in better packaging (these bulky pill bottles are simply unnecessary anymore). That being said, these at least fill the whole bottle...literally to the top. so there is no waste of space. I like that.

It stinks, but it's supposed to stink. You can't rationally get angry at something that's supposed to stink, simply because you didn't know that it was going to stink. That's like getting angry with a car, because you didn't know it could move. The product seems to be of decent quality, on account of its strong smell. I feel minor relief from my inflammation symptoms after taking it. While I can't empirically quantify that n-acetylcysteine = inflammation relief, I feel slightly better each day after taking it, vs. before I started taking it. No, it is not a wand that will undo your ailments. It's maybe just a leg up. Or, it's maybe a placebo. But the stink seems to convince me that it is helpful, so maybe I should embrace that stink.

Inexpensive N-Acetyl L-Cysteine supplement. Bottle smells strongly like sulfur but individual capsules only barely do and they have no taste, so no reason to shy away. My doctor prescribed NAC supplementation as a source of highly bio-available sulfur that also has anti-oxidant benefit.

I'd been using a rival brand of NAC for a couple of years, along with glycine, but I have to say that I wasn't feeling any particular benefit from it--but, as it was relatively inexpensive, and since all of the research indicates that there really is a benefit, I kept doggedly on with it. The time came to reorder once again, but Amazon showed out of my usual brand--so, having bought a lot of other supplements from Bulk Supplements, I shrugged and oped for this product in lieu of Old unReliable. Upon receiving and opening it, I found capsules instead of the solid tablets I'd been taking, plus these capsules possessed a curious, maybe even weird, odor--but subsequent research revealed that NAC in fact is supposed to have this odor (so maybe my previous product wasn't as functional, who knows). In any case, I've been taking the Bulk Supplements NAC now for a couple of months and have to say (bearing in mind that such anecdotal accounts are always highly subjective, so take this testimony for what it's worth) that I do find myself feeling a bit more vim and pep, so I'm sticking with the brand.

I've been using this NAC for a while now to help protect my brain, lungs and heart, but it has so many other benefits as well- all I know is I'm still going strong at 73. I'll definitely be reordering.

Has a very bad smell that is getting worse with time. NAC naturally smells and tastes bad to me, but the smell of this is beyond that. It also give me a stomach upset that other NAC does not. I previously used the BulkSuppliments powder, without issue, except for the taste. These capsules vary from 400mg to 600mg depending on how full the capsule is. NAC will degrade with air, so maybe it's just spoilage from airy filling, or it could be some contaminate from poor production. Either way I will never buy this brand again
