When messing with the drive set, you should always use a new gasket when putting it back in
I tried keeping the old one in there and hooking the driveshaft back up to the transmission and it ripped the driveshaft right back out and almost flipped my truck after buying the simple part and installing it everything is how it should be again I was very happy with the item
