Caran d'Ache Artist Plexiglass Pallet White 26 x 13 mm

Great little palette for my watercolour pencils, this allows blending of different coloured pencils together.Value for money and a great buy. Multi use allows it to be used for all mediums. Cleaning of palette very easy. Great product from Caran D’ache.

Surprisingly useful for a clarity of mediums. A bit pricey, but a useful bit of kit!

Great double sided pallet. The rough side can be used with watercolour pencils and gives a much better effect than using the pencils to colour and then activating them with water. I use it with ink based pencils and it does stain the pallet but the colour doesn’t come off when using another colour

I bought this for the rough side of the palette to use with my water soluble pencils etc. It does stain a little even after cleaning but not horrendously. I’ve not found the edges sharp as indicated by some other reviewers. There’s one tiny rough bit (like where it’s been separated at manufacture, but again, this isn’t sharp. My only worry is it feels like it would snap easily if accidentally dropped. Overall a bit pricey for what it is, so I’m likely paying for the brand name rather than the item itself. It works; I haven’t dropped it (yet); so I’d currently recommend it for the rough side.

It works well for watercolour pencils. It is quite delicate (mine arrived broken at the handle but I taped it up). It wouldn't handle being accidentally dropped. I personally don't think it's great value for money, but there aren't many alternatives out there.

Excellent, love using this and it makes using watercolour pencils way more fun

I am so pleased I found this palette. I use the rough side for watercolour/Inktense pencils, having previously scribbled on a scrap of watercolour paper to pick up/mix colour with a water brush, or ordinary paintbrush - I can now use this palette to much better effect. The Inktense does leave a feint stain, but it doesn't affect new colours mixed on top. I recommend this palette to anyone wanting to use watercolour pencils in this way.

Great alternative to wasting paper and colour product of your pencils. Lets you use all the pencil pigment by creating swatches on the rough surface.

I’ve just begun watercolor pencil studies as a summer teaching project, and found this handy item. So easy to paint on the go with pencils and this palette! Nice portable size for plein air painting. Stains, so best to use the same areas for your colors. I’m told a white cleaning sponge can help keep it clean. White plastic cutting boards also work, but the Caran D’ache is a higher quality item with a finer granular surface, and of a size that is perfect for travel & plein air pencil painting. Perfect for use with my better quality pencils.
