I have several of these and they are easy to use. They work well. The only issue Ive has is the oring eventually breaks when left to the elements but I have replacement orings on the way. IF the oring is gone it will spray all over you. So make sure the oring is present. Otherwise its really quick for connecting and using.

This just looks like it will last forever. I got this for my RV where you are often connecting and disconnecting the water line. Washers don't hold up and fighting leaks is a pain. Also, campground spigots are often very close to the ground so it's all that much harder. My solution was to purchase a "Y" valve that I'll screw on (not included), then connect to hose using the quick disconnect. I used it last week, worked perfectly, not a drip anywhere. The "Y" gives me some leverage, and the hose just snaps on. Yes, to my thinking, it's backwards, the male end belongs on the hose, but since I'm just using one, it doesn't matter. Looks bulletproof. UPDATE: My RV water hose is becoming a science project. I liked the quality of the disconnects so much I'm adding them in the line so I can attach the "Y" to the bib, then snap on a water pressure regulator, then snap on the H2O filter and ZeroG hose. The other half of the "Y" will have a quick connect with a cap, so one could pop the cap off, then snap a second hose on for washing or watering without disconnecting the main city water connector.

I recently upgraded my hose system with a Gorilla hose reel and Continental commercial rubber hoses. These quick links and ball valves add a lot to my hose system, so everything is plug and play. The reel's leader hose is adapted with two male ends - one a ball valve, while the main hose also has a ball valve end. I got their dual female coupling that I can attach either the leader hose or main hose to a faucet while using the other as a flow-controlled output, which works well for my compact pressure washer or similar applications if I don't want to drag the reel into a flower garden. All my sprayer/sprinkler attachments and flow meter are adapted with connectors, as well as the the pressure washer. The ball valves also allow addition precise flow control for watering the vegetable garden with my sprayer. The one thing I would be wary of are the retention screws coming loose on the female connectors, though I haven't had much of an issue besides one. Some loctite may help.

Solid and well-made

I bought a highly rated version of these a couple years ago, which sell a lot on Amazon. I think they were like 4 for $10.00 or so. The other ones did noy have an O-ring. These were much more expensive. I drain and bring my hoses in every winter. The cheaper ones did not hold up and leaked a LOT. Actually, they always kind of leaked. They are now in my recycling bucket. The other problem i had with the more popular ones was that they squished the nylon washer and wouldn't disconnect, which kind of defeated the purpose. So I bought these, and put a lot of Teflon tape on them. Tada: No leaks at all! I'm going to grease the O-rings a bit the next time I swap out hose nozzles. I'll update this review if they start leaking.

Just got the product today, it came in a cheap ebay, temu etc like plastic bag. No box, no seperation with the other fittings. Scores 1 out of 10 for product presentation. So bad for first impression! Paid over $80 for these, way above the average prices on other product on amazon. Didn't use it yet but Im hoping it makes up with product quality and ease of use. P.S. O rings don't even have grease!
