I was looking for both an excellent 20-150 Hz subwoofer and a practice/recording studio bass amplifier to complete my home recording studio. Excellent Bass Response when using a Windows 11 PC as the Digital Audio Workstation and playing to a 5.1 output using RealTek chipset and using my PC's 3 - 3.5 mm to stereo RCA output as indicted by the RealTek Console App (Subwoofer direct, 2 Bose Desktop front speakers, 2 rear Eris Studio Monitor active rear speakers - no center speaker[s]). It is important to pick adjust the right crossover frequency for your setup and room. Use a phone app or other software or gear to eq your room for optimum listening/playback. Small issue - When I hooked up my two Eris Studio Monitor (80W) speakers in a 2.1 configuration: 2 - 3.5mm to RCA output from the PC to my front Bose speakers and the other 3.5mm to RCA L/R going to the Bass Blaster subwoofer RCA inputs) and then connected the Eris Studio Monitors via the high level RCA output connections on the back of the Bass Blaster, I received a low ground loop feedback. So you may have to also install a ground loop isolator filter ( SIUNIMAS Pro RCA 2 Channels Ground Loop Isolator about $25+) between the Bass Blaster high level RCA outputs and the RCA inputs of your speakers if you notice a low hum if you run your front or rear speakers off the high level output of the Bass Blaster. This is normal for studio musicians for a studio or gig setup which the Bass Blaster equally performs and also occurred when I used the studio monitors and the Bass Blaster as a Home Theater setup in a 5.1 configuration. A nice to have would be for Rockville to include a ground loop isolator as part of their RCA high level outputs to prevent the low 60Hz hum. This unit also functioned as a bass amp using a Fender Jazz bass with limiters and effects loops via a PreSonus AudioBox 1818 VSL to USB 2.0 (legacy rig) to my StudioOne DAW software. Though the LED's on the Bass Blaster 12 are a nice to have feature, I'd rather had the ground loop isolation and noise filters. The LEDs are hard to see during the day but are visible in a darker environment. Overall a very versatile Bass Amp/Subwoofer that I definitely recommend.

I knew I was taking a chance on this purchase because the manufacturer is not what they used to be, but I thought I might get lucky. Unfortunately, I did not get lucky. I knew I was in trouble as I carefully removed it from the shipping box because it hardly weighed anything. After I connected it to the stereo and began listening to music on it there was an extreme amount of distortion, cracking, and rattling coming out of the speaker. This was noticeable at little to no volume. As I turned it up it became worse. So what I can tell you is either they shipped me a defective unit or it is extremely cheaply made and poor design from the manufacturer. I recommend passing on this item. Now I paid close to 250 after taxes for this item. However, I invested 300 in a different subwoofer made by BIC America model F12 and that mother shakes the whole neighborhood at minimal volume and sounds professional. Therefore I recommend the F12 subwoofer by BIC America for 300.00 as the best purchase on a budget.

This sub turns out to be a great choice for my patio. Deep rich bass sound with plenty of power throughout all different types of music. I would highly recommend this purchase. I wish it would have come with a cover to protect it while not in use.
