Great bag
My wife loves this backpack carry on bag. It had enough room for most of what she wanted to pack. Likes she can carry or put it on as a backpack. Found that she could pack more than in her hard sided carry on and easier to use when traveling. Great value for the money. Wish that there was a way to secure its zippers to make it more secure when carrying it on your back in crowded places. The black color showed some dirt but wash cleaned off with a wet cloth. Recommend for travel short or long stays .

Awesome Carry-On Bag!
I brought this bag as my only piece of luggage for a week in Tokyo in late October and it worked marvelously. First, I love the understated, stylish look of the grey canvas. It might be my favorite piece of luggage I've ever seen, and it's quite comfortable too. It is incredibly lightweight and passed through the carry-on restrictions on China Eastern's economy class with zero problems, while my friends with rolling luggage were pushing the weight limit. I only wish it had a waist belt to help distribute the weight better – then it'd be perfect. It does have a chest strap, though. I imagine that trekking long distances would get tiring, but for shorter walks around airports, train stations, and hotels, it does its job well. This bag holds a lot! It carried everything I needed for the week, and I didn't even pack that minimally. No repeat outfits! The full zipper allows it to open like a suitcase and makes everything easily accessible. Space was a little tight on the return trip with the addition of bulky souvenirs, but if I'd been a little smarter packing the first time they would have fit easily. The construction seems high quality and it held up without any issues. The front pocket was very useful for accessing things quickly. I was very impressed with this bag. I wasn't sure if I could manage packing for a whole week of cool fall weather out of a backpack, but now I'm convinced! I'm going to use this for all my trips from now on.

Surprisingly capacious, and great for an obstacle course of stairs and cobbled streets.
I took this as my only bag on a ten-day trip that included three flights, two trains, several metro rides, and a few miles worth of walking to and from hotels. This bag did very well. To keep the bag from bulging, I used a set of eBags Ultralight Packing Cubes (worth the price--I tried some other cubes). The set is just the right size with my rain coat folded in between and a hoodie stuffed into the top. I think the cubes helped a lot to keep the bag in its natural shape so the zippers never seemed stressed. The way I packed it, it also stood up on it's own. Here is the list of the gray and blue things I packed (as shown in the pictures) for a spring-weather trip to provide some idea of the capacity: rain coat, hoodie, pair of shoes, 4 t-shirts, 2 collared shirts, 2 pairs of jeans, swim trunks, a variety of socks, underwear, and a small cube (6"x6") with chargers, plug converter, meds, and toiletries. (and the packing cubes of course) In the outer pockets I had a folder with all of my printed stuff, bag with sunscreen and liquids for TSA screening, earbuds, two paperback books, and sunglasses (next to the books). I would definitely recommend this style of travel over a suitcase. No waiting for baggage, no stress with stairs or curbs or puddles or metro "gaps", hands are free to deal with metro cards or passports or whatever, and there are no wheels so you can carry it on your lap when you sit. My one criticism is that the cinch-straps are attached to the outer pocket, which I guess helps pull it flat too, but I'd rather it was just attached to the main enclosure's outer panel. (8 photos of the bag as-packed are attached.)

Perfect for a carry-on only trip! Ryanair approved
This backpack is awesome! I got this backpack for a two week late fall international trip and wanted to go carry-on only. I used packing cubes because otherwise this backpack would have been quite annoying to keep everything organized. No need for the cubes if you're using this for a short weekend or domestic trip, but on an international trip I felt like the cubes were a necessity in conjunction with this backpack. I am 5'6" and the backpack was a perfect fit and never felt too big. Big enough to hold everything but also small enough to not draw a lot of attention to me being a tourist. The tightening straps on the outside really helped a lot in making this look less like a big traveling suitcase. While I didn't do a ton of walking with this backpack on, I was easily able to do a mile here and there with this on. I am sure you could comfortable do longer if you needed to! I was able to *cram* in this backpack: 5 long sleeve shirts, 4 t shirts, 1 raincoat, 1 wool sweater, 1 pair of small boots, 2 pair of pants, 3 scarfs, a very thick book, all of my papers and leaflets, a toiletries bag, an umbrella, a few small trinkets, and 3 blankets I picked up in Morocco before going back to the cold of France. I had to wear the heavy boots and jacket in my picture on the plane rides though because the bag with all those items was at MAX capacity. Near the end of the trip when I accumulated things and my energy to organize dwindled, the backpack became harder and harder to zip up each day and I ended up just using a plastic bag to hold my excess things on the plane ride home. The cubes saved me, along with the strap on the inside of the backpack that further compresses everything inside. This bag also worked twice for Ryanair carry-on , which is the primary reason I chose this product over any other, as Ryanair is notoriously strict/small and I didn't want to risk it! I can't wait to use this bag on another international trip and am now totally converted to the luggage-on-your-back mentality!

Its alright for now
Recently used it for a road trip. The size is good. I have a smaller travel backpack but went for this one for the clam shell open and the size. It fits a lot! I am concerned about durability. The fabric feels cheaper and the stitching on the side buckles stretches if pinched too tight. I'm also not a big fan of the straps. Maybe they need broken in, but they fill stiff and seem to hit in an uncomfortable spot.

Just got this bag in to check out. Will be traveling light to Europe this summer and was looking for a bag like this. At first impression it looks to be well made with lots of starage pockets and zippered sections. Material is a little thinner than I expected, but I feel it will hold up fine. At this price, I feel it is a great deal. Time will tell. As for now , I'll be ordering at least 2 more for the other members of the clan. Update: We just got back from a 2 week trip to France and UK. These bags are excellent for light travel. We where able to use as carry on on the way there, but ended over packing on the way back and had to check in. They performed well through the bagage handling systems of 3 airports without a hitch. The only comment is that they tend to get uncomfortable at the shoulder straps when the weigh goes up(15kg+) and wouldn't consider long day treks with them fully loaded They performed better than expected just the same

A nice looking bag. Holds a lot.... don’t expect it to hold he side of your packed clothes like a suitcase would- it doesn’t have that structure. But all works well and is comfortable on.

Bought this for a 3.5 week trip to Canada with carry on only for domestic flights and I love it! I stuffed it to the brim and the zippers held out without any issues. I was a bit unsure before my trip but I'm happy to say it survived everything I put it through. It's great because it's small enough to not be too annoying while catching public transport and to be a "carry on" item on planes but big enough to hold everything I needed. I carried it on to two Air Canada flights along with my "personal item" (a small backpack) and had zero problems. I can't wait to use this bag again!
