muy buena calidad
m really impressed with this Shark carpet cleaner. It’s powerful, easy to assemble, and does an excellent job lifting deep dirt and pet stains from carpets. The water tanks are simple to remove and clean, and I like how lightweight and maneuverable it feels compared to other machines I’ve used. Suction is strong, carpets dry fairly quickly, and it works well on high-traffic areas. Overall, great performance for the price and definitely worth buying.

Color me impressed. (dramatically better than mediocre steam cleaners of yesteryear!)
Color me impressed. My business switched office space and the existing berber carpet needed a good cleaning. Keep in mind that this wasn't a home with children or pets -- just an office with a low volume of visitors and residual dirt tracked in from the gravel lot after people made it past 2 welcome mats. My past experience with consumer "steam cleaners" wasn't great - they spit out a lot of water, did a half-hearted job at cleaning and really couldn't compare at all with a professional steam clean. But 2 things convinced me to buy this -- 1) I've had great experience with a Shark handheld that has done the best of any vacuum I've owned over the years and 2) the cost of this unit was equal to a single pro carpet cleaning session. Figured worse case we'd have a carpet cleaner on hand and we had some upholstery that needed to be tackled anyway (past experience with hiring pros to steam clean upholstered furniture felt like we paid a premium for 5 min effort per chair and they looked about the same before / after) Wow. This "carpet xpert" does a great job, easily rivaling a professional steam clean, at least in the application we used. Cleaner arrived almost fully assembled. Took a brief moment to snap on handle and push in hose. Pre- vacuumed as instructed before firing it up. (cleaner is not designed to pick up hair, crumbs, paper shards, etc. so you'll need to make sure they're appropriately vacuumed up with a clear surface to start). Operation was pretty intuitive (I did glance at instructions) with the exception of the hand held unit (the "stain striker" hand held piece has 2 buttons - not at all clear which was for spraying and which for drying. But the main unit has a very simple push forward to spray, pull back to extract/dry. The "deep clean" choice on the machine is a bit gimmicky since there is no "standard clean" option, just "deep clean" but okay, I won't dock for that. The unit does hesitate to power off - my machine takes a full second or two after the power off button is depressed before it actually turns off. So much of a delay that I actually tried at first to depress the power button more than once with the effect that I kept turning it back on before it turned off. For now I'm assuming that's not a genuine issue but I'll repost if it becomes a problem. Haven't used it on upholstery yet, but did a great job tackling the berber carpet. The water came out... disgusting. Which is exactly what one wants from a carpet cleaning machine. Oh, unit warned about water temp not exceeding 140. I didn't much follow warnings about water temperature because I'm not really sure what 140 degree water feels like exactly or how much below this maximum is intended. I know boiling is ... well 212 degrees F and 100 F is bath water. And most water heaters max at 140. But the warnings intent or preferred operational temp wasn't clear. Should the water used be... as hot as can come out of the tap? mildly warmer than bathwater? much warmer than bathwater just not hot enough to burn you? And what exactly happens above the 140 degree cut off? Does the unit melt? or is it just a warning so that people don't burn themselves? I decided to go a notch below the max temp out of the faucet to get nice hot water, hot enough to work the dirt loose but not so hot that I'd get burnt if it spilled on me and that seemed to work.

Great carpet cleaner, worth every penny
I received this carpet cleaner yesterday, and after I vacuumed our floors with our Shark upright vacuum, I immediately used the carpet cleaner. I have to say, this carpet cleaner is amazing! After switching from the Bissell ProHeat to this model, the difference is striking. Even after vacuuming, there are always small animal hairs left in the carpet, but this carpet cleaner manages to get them all up, while the Bissell often left clumps behind. The Shark effectively sucks them up and traps the hair in the hair catch! I love that there is no trigger; it only dispenses the cleaning solution when you're pushing it forward. The only downside is the small solution tank; it barely lasts for a small room. However, aside from that, it works great, is easy to assemble, and is already worth the money! The dry-only mode also significantly reduces the drying time of the carpet by at least half, if not more—no more needing a fan to speed up the process!

Fantastic rug cleaning system for multi-pet homes!
I’ve been very impressed with the Shark CarpetXpert Pet Hair Pro overall. The unit is easy to work with and feels very heavy-duty and well built. It cleans extremely well, you can literally see the dirt being pulled up as you use it, which is very satisfying and reassuring. It works especially well on pet hair and high-traffic areas particularly for a home cleaning unit. Cleaning and maintaining the unit is also straightforward, which is a big plus. The tanks and components are easy to remove and rinse, making cleanup after use quick and hassle free. The only downside I’ve noticed is with the roller brush. It has to be in the exact correct position for the machine to properly suction up the cleaning solution. Unfortunately, the unit doesn’t alert you if the roller brush isn’t positioned correctly, so the solution can oversaturate the rug until you realize something isn’t functioning as it should. Aside from that issue, this is a powerful, effective carpet cleaner that delivers excellent results, especially for homes with pets. I’d still highly recommend it, just with a bit of extra attention while using it.

Great Product
This portable carpet cleaner is the best! The instructions are easy to read and follow. It even has instructions on the unit. I was amazed how clean it got my rugs. I have several Shark products, and I have yet to be dissatisfied with any of their products. The only thing I wish they would fix on this unit is the ability to take off the clear cover that is hinged to the bottom roller brush area. Everything else comes apart so it is easily cleaned. But, the unit is light so I hang it over my sink to clean.

Simple and easy
Used this for the first time today. It was easy to assemble and instructions stickers are all over to remind you on do’s and don’ts as you use it. I was worried about the small containers and the fact that it auto sprays and I didn’t control the spray like with my old carpet cleaner but it was nice not having to press the spray button on and off the entire time I’m cleaning. And although the containers were small, I wasn’t changing them as much as I had anticipated. I do like that you can turn off the auto spraying and just do extra rounds of sucking up moisture. In the past, when I walked from the carpet to the tile floor, I had to be careful as moisture would be on the bottom of my shoes. I didn’t have that issue with this unit. I believe with the unit controlling the spraying and the extra rounds of drying, it helps keep you from over saturating the carpet. Cleaning the unit was easy. There are a lot of different things to clean but it was easy and worth doing to keep it from smelling or getting clogged in the future. I like the idea of the pet attachment, which can be used on pet liquid messes and it collects the water in it separate container so it doesn’t get into the actual large unit system. I have not tried it yet, but it’s good to know that if I have to clean up a wet pet mess that I have this attachment.

Tackles the mess
I have a dog. Not like man’s best bud, some 30-65 pound pooch. My guy is 165 pounds of pure white long hair Pyrenees who sheds like he is in the Olympics for it and is going for gold. To say I have gone THROUGH IT with vacuums and carpet cleaners is an understatement that borders on insulting. This one though? It comes apart easy when things do get caught up, easy to take apart and clean, and does its job. I had purchased a $600 cleaner which was made of plastic and disappointment. This one is not playing around. Yes? If your carpets are heavily trafficked by an enormous hairy dude who doesn’t mind laying in dirt and then just sauntering in like nothing (and your husband doesn’t check the beast before he lets him back inside 🧐), you will need to go over the same area a few times. But nothing works with one or two passes unless you are using it once a week. And if you’re doing that please tell me from whence you get the energy, you’re my hero. For the rest of us degenerates who don’t wash out rugs often enough, this is a workhorse.

Amazing Results
After using a Bissell for 4 years, the motor finally died. I ordered a renewed Shark CarpetXpert with StainStriker, based on all the reviews and the generally great reputation of Shark products. Well, the reviews were right. My hall carpet was stained and had ground in dirt. and I was actually thinking I'd have to replace my two-year-old carpet! I pretreated the bad spots with the StainStriker system and it seemed to do a pretty good job of lifting the stains and dirt. Be aware that the StainStriker only uses the OxiCleaner. That solution is used exclusively for the wand. It is not used in the deep clean mode. I went over the carpet in the deep clean mode, followed by the dry mode. The places where I had pretreated it came clean. It took a while but worth the effort. I am no longer considering new carpet. Although I worry about not having the manufacturer's 5 year warranty I am praying that Shark's reputation will see me through. Now, the down sides: Most reviews ding this model for having such a small dirty water container and I wholeheartedly agree. It is inadequate and should hold twice as much. It's annoying to have to stop so often and dump it. However, it is easy to remove and replace, so that helps. Also it can feel a little heavy. But on a positive note, compared to my Bissell it was very easy to clean up after I was done. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
