Best Bang for Buck, Fantastic Customer Service, Reliable.
I purchased a 850w psu Back in February 2024. Last night (9/3/2025) My computer started making noise, almost like air in a line followed by grinding and chirping and now just grinding while playing any game. then, my computer would shut off but only the rgb on my ram sticks were on and the rgb on my mb. i flipped the power switch off then on. long story short if i don't play any games my computer wont shutdown. i explained this and more to Apevia and within 12 hours they responded asking for order receipt, take two pics of the power supply for some info and had a replacement shipped to me WITHIN 12 HOURS. Plus i get to keep my original psu. im a auto mechanic and i use psu to test and run certain equipment or just simply make a homemade radio. there's a lot of psu and brands in the computer market but let me say this, i was expecting trouble or hardship to get some warranty or maybe a credit at most but not these guys. Quality of the psu itself is great, i think the fan is the root cause so if i get a spar fan then now i have two psu. its also very easy to install and i have a mid tower with a full size atx board with a aio and a 4070s. this psu has plenty of power to for my application. very modular to i should add. cable management isnt always fun but this psu made it easy. comes with all the cords & cables you'll need. Thanks Again Aprevia! Gained a New lifetime customer

Works how i expected
The power supply has worked quite well thus far (reporting after about 4 months of use). Haven't experienced any issues. The cable management took a bit of effort but that's to be expected from a semi-modular PSU. Good Ease of installation Looks okay (didn't really buy it for the looks. It's cheap and fits well. It hasn't ran loud, ran fairly quiet.

Was exactly what I needed.
Works perfectly. I used this in my first build and it came out great. I like semi modular design to reduce wires if needed. I like the value of it with the 80 plus gold rating which should be durable. Wires was labeled and easy to connect. Should work well with future upgrades depending on wattage needs of course.

High quality for the current low price
I purchased this product 13 months ago. It's been a beast running my gamming PC. But it died, unexpectedly. I contacted Apevia and told them what happened. After providing original in voice from Amazon along with picture of data plate and SN Apevia sent me a replacement within a couple day, honoring their warranty. They were great. buyer tip: Make sure you get a 80+Gold cert PSU they have 3 year warranties. Anything less and it on ly has a 1yr warranty

Completely unusable after a year
I bought the Apevia 850 watt power supply about 1 year and a half ago. After the first 4 months, I started seeing weird and uncommon issues for turning on my computer and had to at some point redownload windows because of it! I lost important pictures and info because of that. After almost exactly a year ago I was stress testing my pc, I have a RX 7800 XT x, i7 12700kf, 32 gb drr5 ram, 2 tb ssd, 1 tb nvme drive. Which shouldn’t consume more than 750 watts and it shut off and wouldn’t turn on at all for even the the debug lights. Eventually I got it to turn on but ever since then it started turning off and not working more consistently. Whenever it turned off I had to cold reset to disrupt voltage to the cpu and force it to the bios to eventually turn on. It cost me a lot of time and money figuring it out and would commonly confuse my motherboard making random debug lights turn on too. I wouldn’t recommend to buy this power supply! It could have fried my motherboard and parts if my motherboard didn’t have a safety. It also does not have a warranty.

A budget PSU
I think a lot of people are wary of Apevia because they're considered something of a "no-name" nowadays; most have forgotten that Apevia has been a big name since 2000. Although they used to be primarily known for their PC cases, they started making power supplies in 2005 so they've got some experience under their belts. Honestly for the low price this PSU costs, it works great and is aesthetically pleasing. There are really only 2 minor things that should be noted. The first is the flat molded cables; pretty much every single PSU manufacturer makes cables like this now, so it's not exactly a bad point for just this PSU, but man these things drive me nuts. Always super stiff and difficult to tuck away for neat cable management due to how wide and flat they are. I wish we could get back to the old days of power supplies where every wire was seperate and multicolored, because they were much easier to cable manage. The second point is the noise level of the fan, which a few people have said in their reviews is incredibly loud, while others say it is not loud at all. The true answer is really both. At maximum speed, the fan in the PSU is very loud and whiny, but at anything below maximum speed, the fan is perfectly silent. Realistically there are only 2 times when the PSU fan will hit maximum speed; running torture tests like GPU or CPU benchmarks, and for exactly 1 second when you first power on your computer. Most motherboards will ramp all connected fans to maximum speed for 1 second upon startup as a hardware test to check all fans are working, and then immediately engages PWM or voltage control, depending on 3 or 4 pin headers. This is perfectly tolerable unless you are just really really picky, in which case there are plenty of PSUs that cost 2-3 times as much for you that will not have the 1 second of fan sound. Torture tests also hardly reflect real time performace and 99% of people will never push their hardware far enough to require the PSU to need that much cooling.
