I have used this TEKTON 1/4 Inch Drive 6-Point Socket and Ratchet Set with Case regularly on automotive and shop projects and it has exceeded my expectations. The sockets feel durable in hand and have held up through repeated use without rounding fasteners or showing wear on the finish. I'm a retired Auto Tech of close to 20 years and a professional welder. I own Snap-On, Matco, Sunex, GP, Gear Wrench, MIT, Tekton and old school USA Craftsman tools (mostly Snap-On and Matco). While my professional tool set stays in my pole barn, I wanted a 1/4 socket set that I can keep in my vehicle and take to the salvage yard. So I bought this set. I wanted a quality prosumer set. I was looking at this Tekton 1/4 socket set, Quinn, Pittsburgh, Milwaukee, Dewalt and new Craftsman. I ended up with this set because, one, it doesn't skip any sizes. Two, this set is really a high quality set for the price point and three, Tekton's warranty. It is one of the best in the business. You contact them and send a picture of the tool. They ship a replacement out right away. I have never had an issue with them not warranting anything. I live about an hour and a half south of Grand Rapids, MI (where Tekton is located) so turn around is really quick. The down side is no physical stores that you can get it warranted and walk out with a replacement that day. That is where Harbor Freight shines. That said of you loose your 10mm socket, you can't purchase a single socket like you can from Tekton!! The ratchet, is smooth. The chrome finish on sockets and ratchet is really good with no blemishes that I could see. The case is really nice too. While I generally prefer tool bags, I think for a on the go socket set, the case is the way to go. Keeps everything nice and organized. If you leave the cardboard inside the case, everything stays in place. The case looks very durable, although the hinges are questionable, but time will tell. I wish the case had a handle like the 3/8 and 1/2 set does. Still it is is light enough that it is not a deal breaker.

I have to hand it to Tekton—these tools are my weekend warriors, and they can take a beating. Despite my ‘enthusiastic’ DIY habits, the 1/2”, 3/8”, and now the 1/4” Tekton socket sets have all proven solid. The 1/4” set, though, has one little quirk: for some mysterious reason, a few sockets like to break free and rattle around when the case is closed. I’ve tried wedging in the cardboard insert it came with, but that feels like a Band-Aid solution. That said, these tools are performing admirably, and the bonus storage compartment is a welcome touch—perfect for my growing collection of 1/4” add-ons. All in all, it’s another win for Tekton, with just a minor hitch in an otherwise well-crafted setup.

NICE LITTLE 1/4 SET OF SOCKETS. I use them almost daily and primarily with 1/4 impact with no issues. nice case and organized well in the case. has extra storage on one side thats is nice to store other bits and 1/4 drive bit

This is what a rachet & socket set should be! The movement of the direction lever is flawless! No binding or fiddling required. The 1/4" bit adapter is magnetic. Case is very ergonomic with space to grab sockets that are in the holders "just right". Case has metal hinge pins but could use a handle ... my only gripe. Buy with confidence!

It's truly the best socket set I have ever owned I'm a 22 years certified tech with all types of different sockets good name brands as well and I have an entire box full of tecton sockets now I absolutely love them and their warranty
