I'm not sure I realized when I purchased this that it would be a larger-sized Polly Pocket doll than I remember from my childhood. This is the "Fashion Polly" line where the dolls are 3 inches or so big with opposable arms, head, and legs and can change clothes. This was a lot of fun for my kids and I! The clothes are made from a plastic jelly-like substance so while it is easier to put on than fabric clothes, it can catch on the dolls as you try to slide it on. Still, my kids (2 and 5) were able to mostly put the clothes on by themselves. This comes with two dolls, a dog, and many clothes and accessories, as well as the accordion-style fold out house. Pros: lots of adorable clothes to put on dolls, lots of outfit options Clothes durable and easy to put on Fun vending machine mechanic House stays closed when latched Doesn't feel "cheap" Cons: The headbands DO NOT stay on. Due to the hairstyles on the dolls, the headbands will not stay on. They are made of a harder plastic too, so it doesn't have a grip like the jelly plastic. Chairs don't stay up well when dolls are sitting in them. House is too thin to actually have the dolls play in it. It's more a backdrop. Tips: keep the small pieces in a zip lock bag inside the house when not playing. Many are easy to lose. Clean up straight after use so you lessen the chance of losing pieces. I got this for my 2-year-old but my toddler does not put toys in her mouth anymore, so DO NOT get this if your toddler is still putting toys in their mouth! My 5-year-old son also enjoyed playing with this. He was able to put on clothes without assistance but my 2-year-old needed help.

I purchased this toy for my niece’s birthday after asking her to pick out a Polly Pocket item. She chose this one and she has been playing with it nonstop for 3 weeks now - she is 9. It came with lots of accessories and two dolls. The little clothes hangers are useless as there is nowhere to hang them but the other items were cute. My only complaint was that it came in a plain cardboard box. My other niece chose a different PP play set and it came in typical store packing. When I had to wrap them both, this one wasn’t pretty or exciting to unwrap. However once she saw what was inside, she didn’t care one bit about the packaging. Other than that, this is great play set for the money and the way the set folds up and stores all the accessories is super handy, at least in my option as a parent, since these little items tend to get lost and go everywhere.
