Peaky Blinders Series 4 [DVD]

Missed this on the BBC as I was Ill so decided to purchase from Amazon. It was easy and quick to do. As usual Amazon ticks all the boxes! This series is the best thing on TV. Great acting from all the cast and storyline keeps you interested. Murphy and Hardy together in a scene are awesome to watch! The women are all strong characters. Please let there be a series 5!

Blood, guts, action, history, mystery,romance (well, lots of sex, basically - not one for the kids). It’s a period gangster tale, well acted and beautifully photographed. It’s got more edge-of- your-seat as the series’ have progressed. If you’ve watched series 1 - 3 for free on Netflix, you can’t not buy this! Get the HD version - it’s worth the extra few quid, and watch it on your tablet, in bed, with the lights off!

Definitely the best of the 4 seasons. The Peakies have to return to the familiar streets of Brum as their past comes back to haunt them in the shape of the Italian Mafia vendetta. Aiden Brody is a classic Italian gangster and the episodes include a number of excellent character-to-character scenes, with some of the best dialogue yet. The action too is fast and furious and some new, nasty characters take the stage. Mind you, Tommy... Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer didn't appear until 1939... 14 years after you mention him!

For me the best way to review this series is to start by stating that I have not watched TV for 2.5 years after a close family bereavement and simply not having any time on my hands. I have now watched the first 3 series and find myself halfway through the 4th series that I downloaded from Amazon in 3 weeks. Excellent series that is well worth a watch. The industrial architecture is also a bonus.

Even better than the 3rd series. Adrian Brody is horrendously beautiful. Polly, Arthur and Tommy charming as always. Not politically correct to say, but I have longed for any production that can capture classic heroic smoking scenes while I haven't found many nowadays. But Peaky Blinders perfectly showcased how cool a character can be when she/he smokes.

Not quite on a par with the first two years, but a vast improvement on Series 3. Granted, one or two poor moments, but still great entertainment. POSSIBLE SPOILER!!!!!!!!! Hopefully series 5 will show Tommy's dealings with Al Capone , and wouldn't it be brilliant if they got Stephen Graham to play him!!!

10 stars if I could, but sadly the limit is 5. This season easily kept me on my toes and all the twists and betrayals were all brilliant. It’s quite unfortunate viewers will now need to wait until season 5 to witness the next chapter for the Shelby family.

As a gift for someone else, I can only say that he was very pleased to receive this dvd. The previous Christmas, I presented him with seasons 1 and 2, which were playable on his regular region one dvd player. But when I purchased him season 3 and 4 this last Christmas, I also had to purchase an all region dvd player, as these latest Peaky Blinders are only available to play on region 2, or all region dvd players.

Very pleased with the product and the seller answered all my questions. I will do business with this seller again.
