I bought this to get a better shred for my yearly sauerkraut batch, 50 pounds of cabbage. Great concept, but typical Chinese execution. I shortened the feed plate spring by 3/4 inches. Also had to do a little work to the feed plate itself. Not a big deal. Had to cut the cabbage down to quarters. The shred came out super fine. Even taking this units shortcomings into account, this is well worth the price.

Gets the Fruit Job Down...
I use this to Dry pears and works great. Get the pears somewhat soft and cut about 1/4 inch slices and than cut the cores out with a small plastic pipe and dry them for about 15 hours. They are great and something you cannot buy anywhere. Your Family will love you over these Great Pears.
