I used it to connect the dishwasher and the washing machine together very functional no real leaks good fitting valve for money good quality

Mine worked fine. I added no PTFE tape. It was very clear on tightening that there was going to be no issues with a water tight seal.

Nothing wrong with the Y piece but I ended up using a brass one which is more sturdy and less opportunity to fix the inlet pipe on the wrong thread.
