good cable, I run it at 40G, tested with iperf3, it gives me 33-34 Gbytes/s with Mellanox Connex 3 cards (switch on the middle) which i is very acceptable in my configuration

We had used this cable to connect all our Servers (C7000/VC-10), HP DL380 G5,G6,G8 with Mellanox and Netgear/CISCO 10G Ethernet Switches. Running two of these 3m cables between two Mellanox ConnectX-3 cards (MCX311A-XCAT CX311A) and a MikroTik switch (CRS305-1G-4S+IN) to connect my desktop and my Synology DS1819+ NAS. Did a speed test by copying a very large file (250 GB) from an SSD on my desktop to the NAS. I got around 3 times the speed of a 1GB connection. Obviously the 10GB connection isn't saturated, because my NAS is the bottleneck (likely the HDDs: 5x7200 rpm in SHR-2/RAID 6 configuration). Still triple the speed is very nice. Installation was a breeze and overall I'm very happy with my purchase. Will definitely look at these cables first, when I need more.

Bought this with Lot Of 2 Mellanox Connectx-2 PCI-Epress x 8 10GBe Ethernet Network Server Adapter Interface Card MNPA19-XTR, installed adapter in each computer (1 Windows 10, 1 FreeNAS), connected with this cable as my switch is only GB, not 10GB. Both computers detected the hardware, set the address of the FreeNAS card, set the DNS address on the Windows computer to the address of the FreeNAS card and it all worked. I haven't done speed tests but file transfers certainly seem much faster than my GB network.

Description states that it can run "up to 56Gb/s" when in actuality it can only run up to 40Gb/s (http://www.mellanox.com/page/cables; MC2206130-003 can only run at FDR10 which is 40GB/s). Other than that, it's a decent cable. --- Update --- I just wanted to give an update after running some more tests. These cables performed only slightly worse than our 56 Gbps AOC cables, simliar to 10Gtek 40G QSFP+ AOC, for IBM / Mellanox Active Optical Cable, 3-meter . We achieved 22.8 Gbps IPoIB with our AOC cables using iperf and got 22.3 Gbps with these copper cables. If you don't want to spend the extra money for optical cables and don't need to run long distances, this is a pretty good cable.

Works with Mellanox ConnectX3 VPI and Celestica DX010 switch at 40g.
