Snack 21 Salmon Snacks For Dogs

My cats like the texture & flavour best out of about 6 types of dried salmon that I've tried! It is crispy & crunchy, & since they aren't allowed crunchies anymore (wet food's healthier) they LOOOOVE a crunchy treat! But we get the other kind (in the green bag) that's meant for dogs! Why get the "dog" version? The cat version is broken into small pieces, too small actually, because the salmon gets too dry that way and the pieces are rock hard. The sticks in the "dog" version are not just long & wide but also thicker so have a better texture, I think, more like really crisp bacon than rocks. Using the sticks I can break it up myself and control the treat size. A 1'x1" square seems about right. When you do this, though, YOU HAVE TO BE CAREFUL to crush any stabby splinters or any pieces that are extra hard (& thus likely to become stabby splinters once chewed). Now that I put this in words I really do see why it makes sense for the company to sell the cat version safely broken into tiny flakes. You should try a bag of those first, and see if it works for you. But if your cats turn up their noses at the "cat" version, don't give up on this great product! Give the "dog" version a try! I don't fully know why it's so different (I think it just stays fresher in the bigger pieces... you'd have to ask my cats ha) but I know many cats who will not eat the "cat" version but adore the "dog" version.

My dogs love the product, but why did the price increase from $5.99 to over $17? FYI, I found it for $1.99 per package elsewhere.

I order 10 packs and only received 9. I would like the other bag I paid for. Great product. I have order several times. Won't order again unless the vender the additional pack.

Purchased these after the dog tried and loved them. Compared the different sizes online and purchased one that was reportedly far larger than the other, for more $. Took screen shots when I placed the order, as I typically do when placing an order with a new vendor or performing a transaction where a record is important. In this case, I bought six, and all six of them together still were not as large as the one package the site said I was purchasing. I complained to the vendor, and they refused to accommodate. I told them I had a screen shot, and they actually went in and changed the page! I sent them my screen shot from the order, and they claimed they couldn't have changed their page for their product. Will find another source for this if we decide to get it again.

I found these salmon snacks in a pet store in Halifax and am glad to have found them on Amazon. These are small bags but the product seems to be high quality. My toy poodle loves these as a treat. Warning: there is a strong fish smell but it is a small price to pay for a healthy treat my dog loves.

I have a very finicky Shih Tzu that normally turns his head to most treats, but not this one! When he sees me open the bag he does circles waiting for this! Have already ordered more bags! Don't want to be without! Highly recommend!
