Had a faulty rear hatch on my car that liked to come barrelling down but now that problem is fixed with these! Easy 10 second install. They hold firmly and I feel reassured by the lock nut. I was worried about damage to the powder coating of my struts but so far no issues even when fully clamped down. The hood is sturdy and I can work safely on my car with these engaged.

I love them. They seem to be pretty durable, high quality, good value for the money, they fit most, if not all hoods, easy one hand installation.

Didn't hold up all of the time no matter how much I tighten it

I use them to secure my rod locker hatch open. The doors have gotten heavier over the years, and would tend to fall closed. Now I can safely stow and remove rods without worry of damaging them.
