A vibrant green highlighter ink - looks better on page than in bottle!
This is a green highlighter ink from Pelikan for use in e.g. fountain pens with wide nibs. I use this in a Kaweco Sport with 2.3mm stub nib and a converter so that I can use it from the bottle. I’d already got the yellow one, which is very transparent in the bottle, and this one is semi-transparent, but no less vivid! It looks like a mix of probably pyranine and brilliant blue FCF or some manner of green dye too - it is SO bright, particular under sunlight or anything else with a fair amount of UV therein - but it doesn’t look at all impressive in the bottle or the pen - you have to actually use it to see the colour properly! It’s quite viscous and when used in a 2.3mm stub it does take a little while to dry. I’m sure it could be used in fibretip pens, too. It stays bright for a long while on paper and behaves like any other green highlighter would (unlike the yellow version, this one DOES show up when photocopied). I much prefer to use a fountain pen and bottled ink to disposable pens - saves on so much plastic waste. The bottle will last a long while - a full converter is 0.7mL, which would easily last me a month. That means the 30mL bottle would last me several years and is thus quite economical. Must be kept in the dark - in a drawer, ideally, as the dye will fade in light over time and ruin the ink, so tempting though it is to display it, best not!

Love the yellow, hate this
I have the yellow Duo ink and it's a joy to use. This stuff is vile, like diluted ectoplasm, or something that's leaked from Homer Simpson's place of work. Daren't tip it down the sink for fear of what it might do to the wildlife.I'm a Pelikan fan, but there's a limit to my loyalty, and this is way over that line - don't buy it!
