Great strings
I love these ball-end nylon strings from D'Addario. they're great all rounders and sound fantastic on both nylon and steel string guitars.I've tried other makes of ball-end nylons and these are the only ones I've found that are usable; the others were useless.A while back I had a few cases of these strings snapping overnight but this seems to have eased off. Perhaps a bad batch for some reason. If it starts happening again I'll edit my rating.I use the silver/black nylon version.

Great nylon strings for all accoustic guitar types
Value for money with strings generally is pretty poor, for some reason they have a very inflated price point across the entire market. These aren't any different from any others in that area. They are great strings that sound and feel good and I would recommend them to any guitarist looking to buy nylon strings for their accoustic guitar.

A soft muted sound - great for quiet playing
I purchased these as I recently moved to ab apartment connected by thin walls on either side. I previously had been using steel strings but noticed I was playing less as the strings were just so loud in the quiet apartment complex. These are a great solution and provide a soft muted sound which allows for a more quiet playing experience. I do think they're not my favourite strings ever but I am definitely playing a lot more since I hav.e changed to these. While these are great, I still would recommend steel strings over these if you are inna space that allows for a louder tone.

Easy to string
I like this product. Bought a second hand guitar and strings were quite rusty-E A and D. Very pleased with sound and playability.

Nylon on a steel string guitar
Having always been one to experiment I put a set of these strings on an Ibanez steel string acoustic guitar, to be honest I wasn't expecting much but was very surprised at the sound I got once I had fiddled with the set up of the guitar. It did take a while for the strings to stretch and settle and keep in tune but once this was out of the way it played beautifully, even when amplified through the internal pickup as these strings have a steel core. Yes there are some purists who would say this is wrong but I for one am sticking with this, at least on one guitar to expand my sounds. Give it a try if you have a steel string acoustic laying around gathering dust, you might be as surprised as I was

New strings and feel
I cleaned up an old Spanish guitar and decided it was easier to fit ball end strings. With these ‘folk’ strings the sound was definitely folkier rather than sounding classically Spanish, if that makes sense. If you could hear it you’d understand what I mean!

Broke within 2 months of installation
I bought the 80/20 Bronze Wrap, Clear Nylon Trebles. (Ordered on 30 April 2023)Value for money = 2/5Longevity = 3/5 (High E string broke after ~2 months)For beginners = 5/5 (Super easy to install and sounds decent, so yeah, I guess?)At the start, the strings needed time to break in. Very normal for nylon strings and was expected.Took me roughly a day for it to stabilise enough so I could actually play the guitar. At the beginning of its life, it made my intonation all wonky and needed me to adjust my bridge saddle accordingly. However, after I let it stretch a little more, I found that my bridge saddle needed another adjustment. (It's probably best to give it maybe 1-3 months to break it fully before doing intonation of your guitar or doing action height adjustment for your guitar)Sounds good, but for the price, I will definitely try other brands for a better deal. Now a few months in (June 2023), my High E string broke and left a gnarly scar on my guitar top. (See attached pictures)2 deep ones and 1 scratchThe string broke overnight (The guitar was just on my guitar stand in the living room)I only noticed it the following day.It is only superficial, but I would definitely be SUPER pissed if this happened on my high-end classical that is thousands of pounds. I thought getting the Ball End strings would help prevent this, but I am most definitely wrong.I guess all I can do to prevent a similar breakage from damaging my guitar is to always protect the top with a cloth during storage or tuning. If it breaks during usage then RIP.I believe the failure point was the bit of string that has been tied.I then tried to re-tie the string back onto the ball end.VERY BAD idea, IMHO. It literally broke again, at seemingly the same exact spot (Where the knot was tied)So tying a super tight angle on nylon is undesirable and severely weakens the material.I will be avoiding Ball-Ends in future for this reason.Or, at the very least, I will mix my strings.Balls for the thicker 3 bass and tied for the nylon trebles.I did manage to recover enough string from my headstock to tie my broken string after it literally broke 2 times on me. So now I am left with a high E that has been tied and 2 scars on my guitar top.Definitely not happy, but what can you do? You live and learn.I do not recommend buying these for super high end classical you are much better off buying a set of tie-on strings. The Bass strings sounded good, as you would expect from a new set of bass strings. The trebles for me lacked in sound, but that may be more to do with my guitar not favouring certain frequencies. (B string is louder/ more resonant than my high E string, likely due to my guitar favouring this wavelength of sound) Leaves me a little disappointed, but this may not be 100% the string's fault.
