It's a VINE unbiased review, not for a free product, but it deserves a good comment.I love this fish. Flaps so realistically and is hilarious. Full disclosure - I didn't get it for a cat toy, so not sure how the pets would react to it.it's well made, obviously with care. Easy to follow instructions, charges quickly and battery lasts for a while.Comes with a little catnip pouch inside, which could be removed, if it's too much stimulation for the kitties. The motor is reliable and is sensitive to tap, which activates the flapping. It makes a little bit of sound, but negligible.I like that the mechanism could be removed and the product washed.I ordered many different versions of this toy and this was the best made, packed and also budget option (many you'll find are the exact same toy). Obviously the seller cares for the product, but also for the nature, so it's a little note inside explaining why they didn't include the base for the charger and still offering it as an option.Seems they have a large assortment of interesting looking toys and I'll be curious to try them too.

I have a cat who is a big hunter. He tends to get bored in the winter and early spring as where I live it gets quite cold and snowy. He loves this fishy, he's obsessed with it, it keeps him happy and prevents him taking out his boredom on me or the furniture. He's been working on opening the zipper and it seems like he might be able to eventually shred the zipper area to get inside, but I have to say, for the money, it's definitely worth it. A charge on the battery lasts a long time. I especially enjoy the wrestling moves and body slams he does on it, as well as clutching it while the tail repeatedly slaps him in the face. A good time is had by all.

The media could not be loaded.  For small and medium cats , this toy is just a bit large. It had a tiny motor inside that sounds loud and off putting and the tail can get pretty wild flapping back and forth. Now, with that out of the way , it’s a pretty fun toy once the kitty gets use to it. I like that it can charge on any usb charger. It does not take long to charge . I like that it has a zipper that doesn’t stand out to my kitty to harm it. It’s great that the fish will go dormant when not in use so it’ll only flap when the kitty plays with it. I rubbed cat nip on it to get my kitty to stop being so scared of it. It was a good purchase.

Every cat is different, mine is terrified of it while it's in motion mode. I've had some success with him playing with it when it's off, but the motor is too loud, and it also slaps on the hardwood floors like a middle school marching band drummer. It is way to easy to accidentally set it off yourself if you are leaving it anywhere accessible for your cat, especially if bring it to and then leave it in a walkway. I will say, my cousin's cat has one of these and his cat loves it, so it's really dependent.As for the print on it, I think it looks pretty cheap. I'm not going to try and attach a picture because every photo was looking way more life-like than the actual item. Just know you can tell the tail and fins are printed on, and the shadows faking fin depth drawn onto the fish look fine in a photo, but in person it reads as off, like a stock image pasted onto a fish shape.

Our cat continues to play with this toy even though I never charge it (so it’s not flopping around) and we’ve had it for months. It is so cute and funny to see our kitten carrying around a big realistic looking fish around the house in his mouth. He really goes after the catnip inside. It’s hilarious to watch. Also, pretty good quality actually! I got the realistic “silvervine?” —gray carp. Highly recommend.

This is a nice cat toy. It's got catnip and it's a good size for cats to rub their faces in or kick. One cat likes when it flops around, the other cat doesn't, so they each have one and I don't turn on the power of the one that belongs to the cat who'd rather it didn't move on its own.

My foster fail (I adopted him) has been through oh so much, it seems he did not want to give up his favorite (broken) toy but was really happy with the new toy as well. Customer service promptly sent me a USB connector when I was afraid to use my own, as I had fried my kitty's favorite toy with my own adapter. While waiting on the new adapter to arrive in the mail and with five bored kitties, my partner encouraged me to use my Mac to charge the fish (not my USB adapter).. it worked! I received the adapter from customer service as well. Wonderful toy and wonderful customer care. Thank you!

I first got this for my kitten when he was just six months old because my brother bought the newer, upgraded version for his cat, who really enjoyed it. It immediately became one of my kitten's favorite toys. Unfortunately, after the first two charges, it wouldn't charge anymore. It was within the return window, though, so I exchanged it. The next one worked for three months before the internal mechanism for the charging connector broke, and it was out of the exchange/return period at that point, so I was really disappointed. But I reached out to the seller to explain and illustrate my issue, and they were apologetic, understanding, and kind and timely with their communications, and they replaced it free of charge, which I really appreciate. So, they definitely earned a 5/5 for customer service, and as such, I'd definitely buy from them again -- especially since I bought their "Potaroma Cat Toys Saury Fish, 3 Pack Catnip Crinkle Sound Toys" several months ago as well, and those look great and are well made and durable, and both my kitten and my 10-year-old cat really love them. You just might want to consider the model marked "Potaroma Cat Toys Floppy Fish Upgraded" instead of this one, as my brother has never had any motor or charging issues with that one. They're a solid company, though, and this toy is super fun for curious cats.

I bought it for our puppy. He really liked playing with it but he chewed the zipper off and was pulling the fish apart so we had to throw it out. Suppose to be 2 in the box but only received 1. Received a refund.

It works as described.

Easy to charge, turn on and off.Motion sensor works well.Materials feel solid and durable.Overall a well-designed toy.The less useful aspect was only a "meh... whatever..." attitude of the three younger cats. Only kept their interest for 10-12 minutes.

Only received 1 fish and no cat nip. So therefore not as decribed.
